Israel to attack Iran?

Israel is threatening to attack Iran ( more than ever ) and it seems if Romney becomes president US will also help Israel to attack Iran.

It's important for me because i'm Iranian and some of my friends live near ( not near but in the city ) Nuclear Facilities that actually Israel wants to attack.

whats your opinion? this time its serious or just another propaganda?

I don't know the particulars of the current situation....but you're basically saying that they want to attack Nuclear Facilities and to me, for all the things they are, they aren't complete morons who don't understand the consequences of attacking nuclear facilities in a general sense, not to mention in a country which very likely has nuclear weapons.

But some men just want to watch the world burn....so there's that.

There won't be full-scale war. The US, England and Israel, maybe France too, might bomb the nuclear facilities they know of, but probably not even that. They'll continue to try and sabotage them, but nobody wants another war in the middle east, and especially not with Iran, who have a huge militia force, and can probably really hurt their neighbours in terms of conventional warfare.

Israel, Britain and the US have the vastly superior air force, but on the ground... Iran is a lot better equipped than Iraq was to repel an invasion.

It's all talk. Israel needs their scapegoat in the regio, and the Iranian dictatorship needs Israel to keep their citizens fired up, or else they might question the legitimacy of the elections again, and demand liberties.

Rather threaten Israel than talk about why Chomeini didn't need to be elected, I reckon.

And Israel likes this stuff to distract from the whole Gaza/West Bank clusterf*ck, as well as legitimizing their defence spending.

Iran says it will counter US presence in its waters by sending ships to the international waters off the US coast, says Iranian Navy chief Admiral Sayyari.

No specifics were mentioned, but during an interview broadcast on state TV, Sayyari said the plans were aimed for “the next few years.”
In the past two years Iran has broadened the range of its navy, sending ships to the Mediterranean Sea and the Indian Ocean.
Sayyari did not deny that the proposed measure was a response to the increase in the number of US vessels in the Strait of Hormuz, a key oil passageway off the coast of Iran, which Tehran previously threatened to shut off.

The US Fifth Fleet is currently located in Bahrain, on the southern coast of the Strait of Hormuz.

There has been an unusual amount of military activity in the area, over 300 planes daily flying over my house, also there has been too much installment of military equipment in the mountains; defensive equipment, there are usually many army activity in the north (where I live) but this activity is more than during the war (in 2006) I am seeing over 30 vehicles and I am not even leaving home!

Im hearing the gas mask industry is booming in Israel, I saw Bibi today up his threats.

Alot of people say that it will happen during US election times so Israel has better chances of US action and a case against Obama if US action is not sufficient.

Why would USA help Israel ?

Even if you had Jewish people at a majority of influential positions in the US it still wouldn't mean that they're running the country or that they've got some sort of sinister agenda.

All that would tell you is that a majority of influential people are Jewish. So what? That tells you nothing about their support for Israel, to what extent they support Israel or what kind of agenda they've got - if any.

usa supports israel because it's the only stable democracy in the region... not exactly rocket science (pun not intended)
