Did barca lose because messi was tired? he was tired against madrid and chelsea, and then suddenly he goes on a rampage to the end of the season? thats a pretty short recovery time to go from overplayed and tired to dominating again. If he was tired, then he should be getting subbed off when the game is over as a contest, but instead he continued to play 90 minutes every game, which was his own choice i think, so he couldnt have been that tired

So true

Fatigue did play its part in the chelsea & Madrid defeats, fatigue on all 1st team players not just Messi.

The reason messi went on a rampage after was that it was against inferior opposition and it wasn't exactly a rampage as you like to put it. To me he just continued playing his normal game.

People try to make out as if Messi significantly dropped in form during that bad period. Messi played well in those real-chelsea games, hit the wood work 3 times if i'm not mistaken, 2/3 barca scored in those matches were the work of Messi. He had a few of his marvellous runs. The only difference was his change in fortune and mistakes from cesc, alexis, defense.

But I can understand , cz its Messi, people expected him to do another Maradona-like run past the gigantic BUS of chelsea and rescue his team.

Where's Portugal vote? Do we even vote?

Congratulations to Iniesta! I think Pirlo deserved to take this, but it's nice seeing someone other than Ronaldo/Messi take it.

Can we say first leg of spanish supercopa won the award for Iniesta? because he was the best in that match. In original poll Messi won it

"The Argentine had received the most support in the original vote, in mid-August, but when the same journalists were polled again to pick from the final three on Thursday, they chose Iniesta"

wait what???

then why did Missi win it the year before??? he didn't score as many goals as Ronaldo then did he???

Ronaldo was the best player in the world last season how hard is it to deal with that??
Both scored 53 goals in 2010-2011, but Messi gave 28 assists, while Cronaldo only gave 18.

10-11
Messi 53+28 1.59 (G+A)/90min

Cronaldo 53+18 1.38 (G+A)/90min

11-12
Messi 73+35 1.86 (G+A)/90min

Cronaldo 60+15 1.38 (G+A)/90min

Cronaldo was just as effective last season, as season before. Messi was more effective then, and even more effective last season.

How on earth was Cronaldo even close to Messi last season?
