Messi cant take FK

He's been this good atleast a year, scored 3 last season but was unlucky to hit the post at least 6-7 times. Was just matter of time when they started to go in.

^ That goalie probably watched Messi's last freekick and thought as long as he covers his right everything is cool, but Messi can get it over the wall too.

Messi has been good at free kicks for over a year now, he probably would have scored close to 10 last season if it wasn't for the post/bar

There's nothing kneejerk about this, he's been consistently making the goalkeeper make outstanding saves, hitting the wood work or scoring for a while now.

Ronaldo would've scored more if it wasn't for the wall

all in all Missi scores "some" freekicks out all he takes, so maybe he is improving but he is definitely not good yet

It's obvious Messi has been good at free kicks for a while now, his ratio of hitting the post/bar/scoring or making the GK work is quite high.

no it was just an emphasise that both don't hit the back of the net

I am not a hater but how many posts/woodworks has there been to even suggest he could score 10, he only scored two if i am not mistaken

He scored 4 and hit the post/bar atleast 5 times.....

Why does it take people so long to accept someone is good at something on here

Messi has been dangerous with his free kicks for a while now, be it hitting post/bar, forcing outstanding saves or scoring.

That's all you can ask from a free kick taker tbh and Messi does that and has done for a while.

But on here he has only started scoring free kick's since the one against Madrid

Time for a chart showing how accurate Messi/Ronado's FK's have been over the past season or so.

Ronaldo's FK form has been way below what he usually gets. Last year was his worst season in terms of FK's. He usually scores 6/7 FK's a season, last year he got 3/4 I think.

Hitting the post is still not scoring though. But Messi has a great curler no doubt.

ronaldo's fk to fk goal ratio has been awful since about his first season at madrid i would say.

while i dont think you could ever say messi was poor at fks he just doesnt or hasnt scored as many but i bet his ratio is better than ronaldos.


which is why ronaldo should let other players take some fk's ffs

he took it while GK was setting up the wall though which i think is fair but i dont give much credits to that kind of freekick goals as much as i do to the normal freekick goals.

Agreed.


Hitting post is not just luck when it is repeated over and over again.

Plus chipping the ball over the wall just for GK to make an easy save is as poor as kicking it over the bar.
