Roma boss Zdenek Zeman’s war of words with Juventus has continued after he responded to the jibe of John Elkann.

“I wasn’t offended by Elkann’s words,” said the Czech tactician. “We just have different opinions on sport.

“But, in the last few years, it is not as if Juventus have been a good example...”

Zeman’s latest spat with the Old Lady started after he questioned whether boss Antonio Conte should be allowed to train his side during the week while being banned as part of the match-fixing verdicts.

Elkann then sensationally hit back by questioning the career of the former Foggia, Pescara and Lazio 4-3-3 Coach.

“The interesting thing is that Massimo Carrera in one match has won more than Zeman has in a career,” the President of Fiat stated last week. “That is the best answer.”

Carrera, a former defender with La Signora, will take over the touchline duties from Conte who will today start his appeal against his 10-month ban.

Juventus have had a turbulent last decade after they were demoted to Serie B in 2006 in the aftermath of the Calciopoli revelations.

He must be illiterate, because the truth of Calciopoli has come out & only the statute of limitations protects all other guilty parties.

Bitter for his shortcomings sums up this old man. Nedved should offer his compatriot the advice to bite his tongue.
