Has it? 3 years? Didn't know.. in that case, what's all the fuzz about then?
Why are other club posters even coming into this thread asking stupid questions like that?

Maybe English isn't your first language but 'among others' includes everyone else left out of a list.

Anyways, let's not the derail the thread any further. Sterling Proud

Sterling future Anfield legend. Please don't leave...has all the qualities to be a top 5 player in the world in his prime. Just amazing to watch and has been incredible to watch his development from youth team star to PL star. Hats off to a well deserved award.

He and Sturridge should both be Chelsea players. Bring both back to London, bin Remy, Schurrle and Salah in the summer.

Worth it. He's already at a level where he's probably worth more than that to be honest.

no he is not, but then again, a player's worth is relative to how much his team and other teams for that matter are willing to pay him

The only good thing about this deal is we probably know it isn't 95k guaranteed since FSG like doing performance deals, would really love to know what his performance measures would be.

He absolutely is worth that. He's one of the best players in the PL at 19/20 years old, coming off a run where he was the best player on Liverpool down the stretch and making a title run. Given that Glen Johnson and Martin Skrtel are on 90k a week, Theo Walcott and Olivier Giroud are on 100k a week (amongst many, many others making more than him) he's getting paid very fairly.

Exactly, and in that context he's worth it.

Olivier Giroud is absolutely not on 100k/week and Walcott is almost a PL veteran and one of the best wingers in the league for some years now so they are not comparable situations.

But Aaron Ramsey is, he's also on 100k/week based on one season and like Sterling absolutely worth it for both clubs.

Maybe other clubs outside PL wouldn't pay that for these young players but PL clubs would as soon as they sensed that they are not happy with their wages. Liverpool and Arsenal simply won't take the risk.

On high wages, but given our current position it's well deserved. He's also going to improve. It's not like we're offering that sort of contract to players past their prime like Joe Cole...

He's already arguably the most talented player at the club right now... lol
