Yup. What do you lot think about Cavani, anyway?

Mixed, but mostly positive from my end. Can't claim to watch Napoli that much (or at all...) but I saw plenty of him in the CL last season and and various big games in Serie A and .


From what I read/hear, he scores alot of goals on the break and shows his best abilities and form in a counter-attacking system. Now, with Mou back, there's every chance we'll be reverting back to that as well, but even if we don't, I highly doubt a player of Cavani's caliber would be incapable of playing in any other system but the one he's in now.


All in all, I think it would be a fantastic signing (though I do feel the cost is a tad too much) and would certainly go a very long way to remedying the big gaping black hole we have up front now. We've not had a world class striker at Chelsea since Didier was in his very early 30's.

Seriously, Cavani would make me uber happy. He's the hardest working striker there is. He's a born poacher exactly what we need in the box. While he's expensive, he is one of the worlds best CF's and would rip up the EPL.
