In a clear 50/50 where the striker has the beating of the keeper you not only made a troll post but also included profanity. Not to mention your posting has gotten noticeably less worthwhile and more trollish of late.

Re: Women's Football Stars
I agree, consistently let Tancredi get away with dirty tackles. despite her putting in probably 10 fouls on her own and at least 2 of which were yellow worthy. Add that to the generally one-sided (in Canada's favour) calls for challenges in the air and its plain to see the Canadian manager's pre-game comments affect the official.

Re: Women's Football Stars
USA was all about Alex Morgan ... she was biggest threat going forward... (i saw from 74 mins btw)
didnt understand how the hell USA got freekick ... i see those goalkicks all the time by keeper but referee gave freekicks for no reason that also near penalty spot.... lol ...
anyway...
for Canadians, dont worry japanese will beat them again hopefully... lol no offense Mclewis ...
happy for Morgan though... she is so good... i bet she can also score with her big candy asss!!! heheheh

We didnt even play well today, just kept charging down the wings and crossing repeatedly...infuriating to watch but it worked in the end

Re: Women's Football Stars
What's up with that bullshit 6 second call, when has that ever been called in history of football? Refs deserve to be lynched to be honest, didn't think I would ever see worse than that Nesta call against Barca but these refs have outdone them.
Literally enforced a BS rule for the first time in history, in the semifinal of the Olympics lmao.
Candada
But Respect to Alex Morgan, clutch.

Re: Women's Football Stars
I watched about 10 minutes of this game and the less said about the quality the better.
Hypothetically, if we were to combine the best squad of women available could they realistically get into any professional men's football League?
With the game getting less and less physical as the years have gone by, could it actually be possible?
That Rapinho( sp?) would be the first name on my team sheet. Probably a better crosser than anyone at Chelsea.

The blonde winger? That's Rapinoe. I have huge respect for her, especially after she came out.

Re: Women's Football Stars
Rapinoe was GOAT. Period. Morgan will get all the plaudits, but it was Rapinoe who conducted the symphony and she does it from outwide of all places. Wonderful player to watch.
Also, I have to say Christine Sinclair was amazing today as well. Didn't deserve to be on the losing side today (that much I do agree with her about). Virtuoso display from the Canada captain. Canada on a whole looked great I thought. Nothing to be ashamed of, except the officiating.

Re: Women's Football Stars
To be fair Morgan was everywhere in the attack today as well. Not taking anything away from Rapinoe, but Morgan was involved all across the forward line, creating and (eventually) finishing chances for the US.

Rapinoe is definitely our best midfielder...crosses like Beckham and turns like Xavi

Well their roles are quite different. Rapinoe is the Xavi to Morgan's Villa (circa 2010). Morgan doesn't come off as one to create her own chances, despite her good movement. Without Rapinoe, the ball never would've found her on those runs she makes.

Re: Women's Football Stars
Rapinoe is finally getting the credit she deserves. She was very good in the last WC. Does anyone remember that goal against Brazil? That ball was INCREDIBLE. Period. Not just good for a women's game. No caveats. No qualifiers.

Re: Women's Football Stars
As I said, my comments were not meant to take anything away from Rapinoe. She had two goals, an assist, and was key to plenty of our play today. Definitely (wo)man of the match for the US.
That said, your previous comment seemed to imply Morgan would get all the plaudits and publicity just because of her goal, which isn't really the case. She was all over the attacking third creating space, chances, holding up the ball, and generally unsettling the defenders. She created several chances for teammates (at least of which could have sealed the win in regular time if not for the keeper and some wasteful finishing), if not any real chances for herself.
Again, this isn't meant to take anything away from Rapinoe, and I'm a bit hurt you guys took it as such after I specified otherwise. It's merely meant to counter/clear up a rather ambiguous statement in your post.
