I haven't followed this scandal close enough to know what is Conte's degree of involvement besides the fact that he was charged knowing about the fix, but not reporting it. If Conte is found to be heavily involved, such as knowing definitively that a fix was on, I would have a hard time defending him. Harsh punishments need to be given in order to stop the corruption in Italian football.
If he knew the fix is on and didnt say shit then its the same if he fixed it himself, same shit, he played out a game knowing its fixed.
I would ban his cheating ass for 5 years.
OFC IF HE IS FOUND GUILTY.
That's ridiculous, it's not the same at all and you know that. Knowing about a murder and committing murder are not the same and that's why they aren't punished the same. So, let's not try and say they are the same.
However, I would say if he knew for certain, then Juve may want to consider it. If he kind of knew, but didn't know it was happening for sure, that's different. There are different levels of knowledge. Hearing whispers about something potentially happening and knowing for sure something happened are two different things.
So, I disagree with you. It's not black or white. There is a lot of grey area. If i was on those teams and heard rumors about it, I probably would not have gone to the authorities and started naming people because it's not my place to do that if I don't know.
But he did commit the murder, he knew game was fix and he played it, maybe he didnt planed the murder but he sure was one of ppl who commit it. Maybe he didnt profit for it but still, scumbag move.
For me its simple IF he did knew game was fixed and he obviously played along, he is fkn disgrace for football.

1. he would be probably be fired instantly and hated by many supporters
2. reporting something like this would be a threat for anyone, the betting mafia isn't something you would want to mess with
I'm not sayin that it is a good thing he didn't report it, but it is totally understandable.
1. Are you fkn serious? Why would fans hate him? If Inter coach report that some Inter players want to fix the game he would be hero in my eyes, seriously dude wtf kind of thinking is that....
And again, he would be hero in ppl eyes, im pretty certain he wouldnt be fired, its not the management who fixed the game but players.
2. Pussy. There was already one player who reported it all, i remember he was a fkn hero for everyone, he was visiting NT camp and shit, cant find reports about that now...
For me its not understandable, if he knew game was fixed and played along, he is a scumbag for me.

Not the same at all and you know it. You want Conte to bring a halt to the game because there MIGHT be a fix going on? Give me a break. That's not his job.
Go start a thread on this in the Inter board rather than just trying to create fights on this board.

No!
Clubs wouldnt be touched at all, only players who ATTEMPTED(in case he "snitched") would be punished, why on earth would they punish clubs for what their players wanted to do on their on hand without them knowing?
If you refer to calciopoli, that was completly diffrent, it was menagment involved, same as 80s and Milan, this is only players.

Re: Bad news, guys
Cro is right here.
It's not about morality or being a manager.
It's the rules. Italy has had enough trouble with match fixing, it takes managers and players to stand up against it if they potentially know about it.
Conte, bonucci and pepe. Whatever they get, if it's proven then it's deserved.
Don't defend them because they're juventus players as it is about incidents prior to juventus.
It's unfortunate. But that's life

I don't disagree, but having knowledge of something is not just black or white. It's not that easy. And it's definitely not the same as committing the actual fixing at all. That I won't agree with him about.

Re: Bad news, guys
So apparently he will admit the guilt and will get reduce ban, 3-4 months, lost all my respect.
So he knew game was fixed and he played it like nothing is happening, basically he cheated, for me the ban is way way too low, Italy will never get rid of cheating and betting like this.

Awwww you hurt my feelings, plz stop that
On more serious note, i dont expect hardcore Juve fan to understand moral story here, i bet in any other club he would be fired, but Juve welcomes ppl like this. Home of "honesty".
I would write something like that if i were trolling but im not so i wont.

hate to say it but cro is right, if found guilty, all involved must be handed harsh punishments notwithstanding their team affiliations, and we mustn't support them.......
p.s: cro this doesn't give you any license to go a-trolling on our board though...

Re: Bad news, guys
i had to log on just to say this.
CroInter Shut the hell up you troll. The only one who is guilty for me is just Bonucci, because he agreed to fix some games.
The way i see it, Conte was just being loyal to his bosses, PERIOD. There is no way in HELL anybody would sell his team by snitching like that. He just stood by quiet, period. He cant do anything to change what the owner wanted all along, to fix games.
Everybody in this situation, even if does not want to participate in these wrongful actions, would just let it pass by.
And pepe? Please, he was called once by his teammates and they told him: "Hey pepe, wanna make some extra buck fixing some games? And he went like: "No, im not down with that, but you can do whatever the hell you want i wont say anything just leave me out of this".
Come the @#& on.....

Have to agree with Cro again.
Djfawnz just outlined everything wrong with the sport in Italy.
Knowing and not acting isnt better than joining in.
Conte was loyal to the wrong people
Pepe didn't want to create a stir but don't complain afterwards
