Pippo Inzaghi retires Empty Pippo Inzaghi retires

Post by McLewis Wed Jul 25, 2012 4:45 pm

Surprised no one's made a thread on this yet.

He's hung up his boots and accepted a role as coach of Milan's youngest youth team. Such a storied career this man has had.

Will never forget that 2003 CL winning season. He scored 12 times for Milan in that comp that year. Just beastly. What I love about Inzaghi is that he knows he's not the best all-around player. He's not at all a complete footballer, but his intelligence and instinct in the box is 2nd to none in the modern game, I'd say. Maybe van Nistelrooy's in with a shout, but for me it's still Pippo.

Gonna miss they guy with his crazy celebrations and gestures with the refs.

Grazie Pippo

One of the last, if not the last of his kind. Great career and to me, the none existent award for "getting most from the least talent" must go to him.

Cant run, weak, average touch, misses loads of clear chances, constantly offside, cant dribble, cant shoot outside the box and yet, somehow he could be the most dangerous man on the pitch regardless of who else is playing with or against him.

Didnt expect him to hang it up, despite his age, but what a career and what a player.
