Coming out of last night's WWE RAW, here is the updated card for Sunday's Royal Rumble pay-per-view. It's expected that a Divas Title match will be added. 23 Superstars are confirmed for the 30-man Rumble match, leaving 7 open spots.

Yep. Was wanting to go last year but the timing wasn't right, but this year is a lock.

Got HOF and Mania tickets already. Just waiting for Axxess and Raw to get sorted.

It looks like a pretty decent RR line up this year, though anything will be better than the last few ones.

There are only so many spots for a surprise RR entrant. I hope the Rumble match takes place after the WWE title match, as it deserves to.

Both PWInsider.com and WrestlingObserver.com have reported that Cena's promo was so bad, he actually had heat backstage. His promo was such a steaming pile of shit that the other wrestlers in the back were left scratching their heads wondering what in the hell this man was doing talking about video games with children in the audience when he was supposed to be selling us on the Royal Rumble match.

It had to be one of the worst "promos" I've ever seen not only from him, but from anyone in the E. Looked even worse after the selling Punk and Rock put on for their match.

With the Shield banned from interference, hopefully that opens up the idea of Lesnar interfering instead. I don't expect it knowing how creative works, but it would make so much sense.

Yeh, was a poor promo.

We noted how John Cena's bad Royal Rumble promo from the end of Monday's RAW was a hot topic backstage. The feeling backstage was that Cena got lost in the middle of his promo and really didn't get his point across, whatever that point was.

WWE officials continue to discuss Ryback vs. Big Show for WrestleMania 29. They are also talking about doing a Money in the Bank Ladder Match at WrestleMania with Ryback in it.

As noted before, WWE has offered Brock Lesnar another 1 year contract - believed to be similar to the current deal that expires at WrestleMania 29 in the sense that it's for few dates and several million dollars.

The Wrestling Observer reports that Lesnar has not signed the contract yet, but word going around is that there's a good chance he will sign.

The big opponents being discussed for Lesnar in 2013 are CM Punk and Randy Orton. Lesnar vs. Orton had been discussed for 2012 but plans changed.

The current storyline where The Miz is being pushed as the "next Ric Flair" was originally earmarked for Dolph Ziggler. With Ziggler, the idea was going to be more of Flair being his manager but Ziggler was going to be given the Figure Four and doing the same gimmick Miz is doing as a babyface.

Regarding turning Ziggler babyface, it looks like those plans have been put on hold for the time being.

Several stars who have been rumored to be surprise entrants in this Sunday's Royal Rumble match from Phoenix, AZ, will be in the state this weekend. Carlito and Shelton Benjamin are amongst the names scheduled to appear at a Championship Wrestling from Arizona event on Friday night in Scottsdale, AZ.

Also scheduled to appear at the event are Chris Masters, Domino, The Honky Tonk Man, Shane Helms and more.

It appears the rumored Dolph Ziggler babyface turn won't be happening. WWE officials recently discussed having Ziggler vs. Alberto Del Rio for the World Heavyweight Title at WrestleMania 29, with Dolph winning.

No word yet how this scenario would tie in with Ziggler's Money in the Bank briefcase but he is a candidate to win the 30-man Royal Rumble match on Sunday.

Ticketmaster eventually got it right with their Axxess sale and I managed to grab a meet and greet with Randy Orton and Rey Mysterio. Pretty hype with that. Will also get to meet Bret and HBK in the city a few days before Mania too.

Taker tickets are going on stubhub and ebay for $1500 + which is a disgrace though. Scalpers are having a field day.

I really don't remember the last time I've anticipated a RR this much. Not only for the obvious Punk vs. Rock and the rumble itself, but for what / who may show up and set the scene towards Mania. There are so many wildcards and possible feuds they could work with, if they don't screw it up that is.
