I only just got home so have to wait for CTV to put the full match up. I've read Marin did quite well. Not really suprised that we were dominated at the start with the amount of deadwood we had on the pitch.

I lik Marin's work rate and determination to have an impact on the game. It'll be very helpful during the season.

He really is playing like someone with something to prove. Probably knows with Hazard, Mata, and probably Oscar, he was most likely looking at a starting spot on the bench next season going into this tour.

He's certainly make a case for himself, though. Definitely a case of the proverbial, "good problem to have" for Robbie.

Its fair to say if it were JT in Luiz's position, he would have blocked that shot(the PSG goal).

You'd have to think. Silly goal to give away, from Pastore being allowed to work his way practically to the byline, to the failed clearance.

We've been below average defensively these past 2 games though not at full strength. JT added some toughness to the defense once he came on.

thats what i thought when i watched the highlights, it was poor defense all round, although truth be told the ball shouldve never got to Luiz, it shouldve been cleaned up earlier

All in all, how did we look?

Awful in the first 25mins. Picked up a little before halftime. De Bruyne and Kakuta, especially, performed poorly imo. Hutch wasn't good either. Paulo really needs to retire. Mikel performed very well. Our play improved immensely when Ramires, Marin, Cole, Josh, Essien & JT came on. Lukaku was pretty meh. Overall not a bad performance. We did have chances to get a winner.

Was Lukaku's first touch all over the place again because vs Seattle it wasnt great and it worrying because the standard of defender he faces is gong to rise dramaticaly in the CL and PL

two consectuive good performances from Mikel? at this rate he'll score a goal before the pre-seaons over :bow:

We're already taking a huge chance going into the season with only one big-name center-forward as it is, I don't expect him to get longer than mid-season to redeem himself.

I just hope to God he delivers, for our sake as well as his.
