Sanchez isnt just a winger. I can get how you would sign him and force Ronaldo ot be more of a CF.

Sanchez plays about the same positions as messi, and lately he has been playing as a false 9 like messi, changing between AM, SS and CF.

If we are to believe the Aquero and Coentrao deals as well as Lass and Kaka statements of staying, we're ending up with 23 players and lots of "starters" on bench. I have

Goal: Casillas; (Dudek)
Defense: Coentrao, Pepe, Ramos, Marcelo; (Arbeloa, Albiol, Carvalho)
Midfield: Khedira, Alonso; (Lass, Sahin, Granero)
CAM: Ozil; (Kaka)
Wingers: Aquero, Ronaldo; (Di Maria, Callejon, Altintop)
Strikers: Higuain; (Benzema) or if they sell Benz or Higgy; (Adebayor)

I can't believe this is right. Either the stories of who is staying or who is being purchased have to be wrong. This line-up has at least 4 "starters"on bench.

It doesnt bother me to have around 16 top players in the squad, all able to be sub., but if all the subs are attacking players, then it's a bit silly.

You could put Di Maria in instead of Aquero, but either way you have Sahin, Kaka, Di Maria (or Higuain) on bench. Sahin would be a reserve for first few months, but eventually this will be a problem unless they go with Alonso Sahin?? I think Mou would say he needs some Defense in mid-field. Perhaps you could have a rotation between Ozil, Kaka, Sahin!! Up front, they could do a rotation with Di maria and 2nd striker. I suspose it could work, but it also will lead to some unhappiness. I can see it working if Kaka is not in the mix.

Im not oo worried about the rotation at his point tbh, we still dont know how the final squad will be

<P>I think latest on Lass is he has said he will only leave if he gets a good offer from england. Club does not want him to leave. They have offered him a new contract, which he hasn't signed yet. I think it's a case of player waiting to see if someone in EPL can give him a better offer (and quarantee of more playing time).</P>

This being true i.e. the stories of who is coming and who is staying, we have our full squad (23). As I said the other day, it makes us better (longer time of core together plus Sahin addition improves our passing capabilities and I think better strikers as well - plus I see us playing 2 of them at same time a fair amount of time), but I'm concerned about the left foot at RB experiment, the problems of having to much talent on bench - this could affect building chemistry. I like the idea od a Alonso Sahin Ozil midfield, but I don't think Mou will play that offensive.

It does tho for the first time in years mean we have a full squad where all (except maybe Albiol) can make significant contributions.

We've already bought Callejon on the wings, and if Lass is staying, and even more if Coentrao is gonna be RB, just watch Top rot on the bench. I mean, where is he going to even backup, yet alone play? I know I must be sounding like a broken record, but it annoys me. Anyway, Kaka is staying, Lass seems to be staying too, the only questions are Coentrao and Aguero, unless something retarded like Neymar happens. Then again, this is Real Madrid, so anything is possible...

Callejon is being brought in as a reserve on wing. When we play normal formations Di maria starts and Callejon is back-up. However there will be time when he will put out 2 strikers at the expense of Di Maria. That's also the prime position of Altintop, although I think he only plays on right. If we play a 4-3-3 formation he can also get some time in at MF on right side and then of course he is a late reserve for RB. Bottom line is, Mou will have to adopt much more rotation than he was willing to do last year.It may be possible tho as his prime reason last year was to establish his system and line-up. He has a much more useful bench this year. If he doesn't make better rotations, I think it will lead to problems.

One final comment. This line-up (hopefully the one without Kaka) can weather whatever injuries / suspensions come along and it does mean no one is indispensable e.g. last year we couldn't play effectively without Ronaldo nor Xabi. I think there is enough talent to make a very strong team no matter who is sitting out - the key will be Mou making them all feel an active contributor. This is what Del Bosque does so effectively with Selecciones and what Pelli was trying to do the year before.

sahin will prove him self, the kid wont get benched, mou said theyve been after him for long time, he has his reasons.
