So, we are pretty much launched in a dog fight with Man Utd for the signing of Rafael Varane. They have made a formal offer of 10.5M and we are yet to make ours.

The fact that we invited him at the bernabeu suggests that we are more than interested.

His club has gone down in second division, and he has no interest in staying there.

If we sign him we will let him continue is development in Ligue 1 in a different club.

Things are supposedly going to happen very fast because his club registered his sale to the accounts they presenting to the LFP.

if our direction is convinced and ready to invest in him, and if the player accepts us ofc, the transfer is going to happen by the end of the week (next week?)

He is a french wonderkid, he plays CB and occasionally DM. he started in ligue 1 at 17yo, but now he is 18. Seems like utd and Zidane are fans and he is on the market.

Varane is going to PSG. They offered 10 million, he wants to stay in France... contract negotiations have started already.

PSG is one team you do not want to meet next year if they make it thru CL qualifying... Sakho/Varane CB pairing, Matuidi as the DM, Nene as the creative winger, Gameiro as the CF, etc.

They are apparently hot after Lucas (the one in Brazil), a corner defender and Marvin Martin for the AM role.

i dont mind Varane going there, it pretty much guarantees he will stay there for another 3-4 seasons, and if he lives up to his talen, we will swoop in.

i just dont wanna see him with utd or arsenal

Guti as a coach? Maybe as a 60 year old. It seems like he's still in puberty despite being 30.

Yeh I think he's a good player and played well everytime he's played for them. If he plays consistently over the next few years he can turn out to be a DM version of Modric who everyone wants.
