Lucio to Juve?
Tutto Sport wrote an article today saying that Lucio could join Juve on a Free Transfer just like Pirlo did last summer.
What do you guys think? I say this could work if we get him for free. I wouldn't pay for him....

Re: Lucio to Juve?
The articles I've read state that Inter released him from his contract because he intends to go play at Fenerbache. He probably wants to start and would be on the bench at Juve. It seems pretty certain that he is leaving Italy.

backup option,we were in the market for another CB..He's coming on a free transfer anyway so nothing to lose.
Bruno Alves seemed a bit too pricey for us so we settled for the more cheaper option.
good move imo..Defender with the experience at the highest level and would serve as a great backup for us.2.3m wages is not a lot at all.

A motivated Lucio would be the best CB in Juve by a margin. That scumbag...I am betrayed.

Wow. I thought he was for sure going to Fenerbache. That's what all of the articles said so I didn't bother posting anything here.

Fenerbache deny interest. I would welcome this to be honest. Free, average wages and on his day was/is brilliant.

Oh I agree completely. Whomever we signed was going to be for depth. I'll take a 34 year old Lucio on the bench for free versus 3-5 million transfer fee for some guy that is about the same age. That money we saved will be better spent on a striker and LB.

Re: Lucio to Juve?
i endorse this..free transfer, slashed wages, wealth of experience in major competitions, sure to accept role on bench behind a stellar starting defensive line
it also frees up money for use in other areas as another cb would have been 10mil minimum....
i know he's from inter yes but only the fans would mind but the players all love each other out there...

Re: Lucio to Juve?
Would be an excellent depth signing. Especially for free. Then bring in Kolarov or Isla, and between all of them we would have: Lichsteiner and Caceres for RB, Kolarov/Isla and De Ceglie for LB, and Chiellini, Barzagli, Bonucci, and Lucio for CB. That would be amazing.

From what I've read so far he will get ~2,3mil euros / year which isn't very low if you ask me..

5.2M over 2 years
It's not low, but nothing that a club like Juventus couldn't handle, especially with champions league revenue to consider.
Also, consider the fact that there is no transfer fee, and two years is a short term contract.
It's a good deal.

Congrats, one of my favourite CB's of all time. A monster on form, hope he can do a Pirlo and rediscover it at Juve.

A great move by Marotta here...I feel its a better signing than Nesta for us as Nesta really seems to have lost his pace in his later years but Lucio still seems to be in top condition

Re: Lucio to Juve?
he was one of the inter players that i loved to hate. i never thought id be happy to see him with us but he's definitely the right player for us, a reliable wc veteran to add depth for a couple years.
