According to the Barca website, Villa should be back for preseason!

Villa was recently quoted as "I can't wait for the season to start, I hope the vacations would end right now", which makes me think that he doesn't doubt that he'll make it to the beginning of the season.

Fontas and Alves to get the clear soon. Villa probably won't make it for SuperCopa and at most the first three games. I wish he could though...

Nah, it's like 2 to 3 hours flights. Definitely better than flying to otherside of the globe to play in saunas.
