Sylvain Wiltord announces his retirement
Arsenal hero Sylvain Wiltord has announced his retirement.
The 38-year-old joined the club in 2000 from Bordeaux and spent four years in north London, winning two Premier League titles and two FA Cups.
He was a member of the 'Invincibles' team which went through the 2003-04 league season unbeaten.
Wiltord won 92 caps for France, memorably scoring an injury-time equaliser in the Euro 2000 final against Italy, which Les Bleus won in extra-time.
The French Football Federation said in a statement: "All of our football fans who were following the final of the European Championship on the evening of July 2 in Rotterdam as supporters of France will long remember Sylvain Wiltord's equalising goal in added time before the French won in extra-time.
"This memory will remain etched in the history of our sport, because he made a big contribution to winning the European title."

Re: Sylvain Wiltord announces his retirement
^^ I remember reading that on Arseblog and wondered why nobody had put it here yet.. Thanks Ernie..
Wiltord, though not among the greatest Arsenal legends, had his fair share of good goals.. Good on him and best further!
