Thiago Silva deal done - report

Sportmediaset are reporting that Milan defender Thiago Silva has agreed to join French outfit Paris Saint-Germain for €50m.

Reports this morning suggested that the player was in Paris today to negotiate a high-cost transfer to the Ligue 1 club, whilst both the his agent and PSG’s sporting director Leonardo added fuel to such rumours with their comments.

SportMediaset are now reporting that a deal between the club and Silva has been agreed, with the Brazilian allegedly set to be handed a €9m-a-season contract in the French capital, doubling his current San Siro salary.

Meanwhile, the Rossoneri are set to receive a €50m fee to hand over his registration to the Parisians, which would be five times the amount the Italians paid Fluminense for him in 2007.

It is understood that the player has already texted teammates at Milan to inform them of his departure and to say goodbye. The 27-year-old will have a medical on Tuesday before completing the transfer.

This is not a 1-2M salary difference. At a 5 year contract he will get 45M in 5 season & how much would he make in Milan?20-22M at best.

This is Just Too Huge money & PSG have the ambition to fight for CHL titles. Despite his loyalty I doubt if he will reject this high a salary. Sad day for all Milan fans in here. Maybe this money will go in decreasing the losses.

If true, this is horrible news. The 50M will be used to balance Milan's forever unbalanced books and we lose the best CB in the world. If this happens I'll seriously consider taking a year off from supporting this club. Galliani and Berlu are ruining Milan's reputation as one of the best clubs in the world, the same reputation that they worked so hard to build.

galliani is a thug.... ok granted we have financial problem so they need money. just sell robinho!!! why best player have to be sacrificed. even selling pato would satisfy me, given that he is not going to be regular as long as ibra is in the club!!!

50 million is good enough for TS lol, I know to you guys he is priceless but be more realistic, I just hope the money is used to improve the squad not make someone's pocket heavier.
