Netherlands Players Subjected To Racial Abuse

Wow, the high horse riding is getting ridiculous, as a black person living in Britain, it disgusts me to see programs like panarama castigating other countries whilst very same problems are still prevalent in tbe UK. The media does a very good job at ignoring stories of racist abuse which takes place mainly outside, but also inside the grounds. Back in 2007 Jason Scotland, then of St Johnston, suffered racist abuse in a game against my local club Motherwell. I happened to be sitting close to the numpties who were hurling out the abuse and i can say i have never felt so unsafe in my life. I can a sure it was more then a "few handful" of fans doing this, it was closer to 100.

The stewards and some police just came up telling the guys to stop, but didnt arrest one of them. Most likely because they were outnumbered easily. Only one person to my knowledge was ever jailed for this, and it i it was because he was a season ticket holder and was known, the rest? One-timers.

Theres several cases(many if which i have seen with my own eyes) of non-white fans in schools in glasgow, being beaten up by fellow fans of the very clubs they support because they dont want foreigners supporting their club. Like Poland and Ukraine most of the fans are not like this, but unlike the two countries this is rarely reported, and if it is, its normally a
at the bottom of the page next to the article about Jordan and her latest scandal in the Evening News.

I havent even mentioned the stufd in England yet, having lived there and Scotland myself i can tell you that if i wanted, i could make a video of the terraces showing fans doing stuff just as bad, if not woruse then people saw in the paranama feature, very easily. Btw, Sol Campbell is a disgrace, coming home in a coffin? Jesus christ...what a tool, an utter tool.

I never thought i would ever have to show a degree of sympathy to racists but the hyprocrisy meter is reaching far too close to breaking point for my liking.

Other black people have slated me in the for my refusal to antagonise the people of Poland and Ukraine, but i refuse to let the reputation of two countries suffer just to give people the opportunity to ride their finely groomed high horse's

One poster suggested that what happened at the Dutch training session was no different from what happens in Spain and Italy. Im sorry I am just defending my country, some people here posting things that don't pertain, like giving us euros was bad. I am against racism and these people should be banned but 200 people is a really small part of a whole country. If you saw the welcoming and fan zones there was no racism problems!

Well, I know the press before the WC2006 - there were quite some reports that warned black people to go to Germany, too, charts were printed of "no go zones" and the like. And yes, there are still idiots in Germany, too (low-life that claim to be supporters of Hansa Rostock or Dynamo Dresden and some other clubs in that area, whom I actually can't consider fans of these clubs as they always get the teams into trouble), but the main populace sure isn't supportive of that.

Actuaqlly that's why I'm even more and more angry at people who deride the German NT for not consisting of German when there are Germans of Turkish, Tunesian, Polish, Spanish etc roots - shouldn't people be more happy that the common populace doesn't embrace that idiotic "only pure-bloods - whatever that means, btw, considering that the genetic origin of humans lies somewhere in Africa anyway - should be allowed to play in the NT"?

The problem is that the press loves to show stuff that is sensationalist as that always draws more readers / viewers. I hope there soon will be lots reports of fans celebrating peacefully, too. In the WC2006, the fears of the people beforehand were soon blown away, and I hope it will be the same case in the Euro2012.

The WC Germany thing was a disgrace, i remember ignorant journalists going around saying the neo-nazi brigade will make it dangerous for black people to go blah, blah, blah, yaddy ya, in fact, i'm sure ther was a similar feature done for Germany that paranamacrap did for Poland and Ukraine.

In fact, WC's and Euro's being awarded to countries like South Africa, Poland, Ukraine and Brazil provew FIFA is not as corrupt as people say. What do they have to gain by taking tournaments there? A lot of critiscm thats what they gain. They could have gone to England or USA if they wanted loads of money.
