Re: Summer Transfer Rumour Thread Pt. 2
Nicola Leali undergoing his medical today, cost is €5M, according to LaStampa who are one of very few trustworthy sources when it comes to Juve.
According to them the deal for Isla-Asamoah is practically complete, with both players expected back in Italy in the next few days to add the finishing touches.
Seems also that Brescia AM Omar El Kaddouri will move into Co-Ownrship with Juve, around €3M, Fausto Rossi goes in the other direction. Besides the great Pescara trio he was probably the best youngster in Serie B last season, talk is he will go to Pescara or Atalanta as part of the proposed Gabbiadini/Verratti deals. I don't necessarily buy it at this point, could be a nice alternative to Vucinic.

Shame to see PSG spending the majority of their money outside the French market.

Newcastle have had a 4m bid rejected for Ajax's Vurnon Anita.
Hopefully we can sort a deal out as we desperately need a DM for next season.

Rondon has scored 25 goals in two seasons since joining Malaga and was watched by Chelsea scouts when playing for his country on Sunday, according to Marca.

Also, reports are out that Bologna have entered negotiations with an "important foreign club" over the sale of Gaston Ramirez. Liverpool had been tipped as favorites for him, but Man City are interested. Given Bolognas quoted price of €20 mil, I'm guessing the club is Man City.

But O Jogo says City boss Roberto Mancini has registered his interest in Witsel and asked Benfica to be kept up-to-speed on the situation.

Wont sell for what we offered and want to keep him, but if we offer something they deem acceptable then they will let him go....
Unsure at this stage what this amount is, my guess is 7-8m we will probably try and meet them half way and hope its enough.

Wouldn't be shocked if Wolfsburg were behind this, after all a week ago they were the only one's who had put in a serious bid.donttreadonred wrote:Also, reports are out that Bologna have entered negotiations with an "important foreign club" over the sale of Gaston Ramirez. Maybe Volkswagen sales were good this week.

Robert Green is supposedly moving closer to joining QPR.
Sky Sports are also reporting that West Ham are holding talks with Mohamed Diame.

It's been reported in basically every paper, mate. Guardian, Liverpool Echo, Mirror, Daily Fail, etc. You name it, they've run it at some point since Rodgers' appointment.Barrettinator wrote:Link?ynwa wrote:Gylfi Siggurdson to Liverpool for 7m.

Gylfi Siggurdson would be a fantastic edition. Young, knows where to move, can play a great pass, and his movement in the box is second to none. If the quoted price is true, and if he continues the same performances as he did with Swansea, then Liverpool have themselves a potential star player and a bargain.

Re: Summer Transfer Rumour Thread Pt. 2
N-DEMAND defender Mathieu Debuchy wants to snub Continental interest and move to Newcastle United this summer, The Journal can reveal.
Having already opened negotiations with Lille, United want to double Debuchy’s Ligue 1 wages and offer him a five-year deal to join their French revolution.
They believe the move would have already been concluded if it had not been for his sudden elevation to France’s first-choice right-back following an injury to Arsenal’s Bacary Sagna.
His fine performance in Monday’s Euro 2012 Group D opener against England proved his undoubted class – and illustrated just why United are not the only team keen to secure his services in the close season. However, senior sources have told The Journal Newcastle are not worried that their long-standing pursuit of Debuchy will be damaged by his fine performance in Donetsk.
We understand the defender has told close friend Yohan Cabaye on several occasions he wants to join him on Tyneside – a message relayed back to United’s hierarchy through Debuchy’s representatives at the end of May.
Newcastle wanted to push through a move before the European Championships but despite opening negotiations they could not agree a fee with Lille, which will be their priority as soon as France are knocked out of the tournament in Poland and Ukraine.
Although a player of promise, they are not especially anxious about news Inter Milan have joined the race for his services and believe the presence of Cabaye in their squad is a major factor in their favour.
Debuchy favours a move to England and, with neither of the Manchester clubs likely to join a bidding war for the player, Lille are ready for further negotiations with Newcastle. However, he revealed yesterday he would not decide his future until after France’s Euro 2012 campaign
Probably BS but what the hell the article also says the 4m offer for Vurnon Anita may not be true but we are genuinely interested but if Ajax persist they wont accept less than 8m then we will look elsewhere.

Arsenal set to sign Olivier Giroud for £12m from Montpellier
Arsenal are close to completing a deal to sign Montpellier striker and France international Olivier Giroud for £12m.
The Gunners are expected to confirm the 25-year-old's arrival this week.
Manager Arsene Wenger intends to play him alongside fellow new signing Lukas Podolski and Dutch striker Robin van Persie in a front three.
The 6ft 3ins forward, who was an unused substitute in France's 1-1 Euro 2012 draw with England, scored 21 goals in his club's run to the Ligue 1 title.
Giroud is one of only two recognised strikers in the French squad, alongside Karim Benzema. He has six caps for his country and one goal.
Earlier this week, Montpellier manager Rene Girard told French radio station RMC that Wenger was leading a chase of top clubs for the striker.
"Arsenal are very interested and Giroud wants to play in England, if Arsene agrees with the president, he will sign for them," he said.
Despite speculation about the future of Van Persie, who is out of contract next summer, it is understood Arsenal want to sign Giroud to play alongside him, rather than as a replacement.

I've no idea how a front three of Podolski, Giroud and van Persie would work.

Giroud will warm the bench if RVP stays.
Either that or RVP plays #10.

4-3-2-1
Sagna-Koscielny-Vermaelen-Gibbs
Wilshere-Arteta-Song
RvP-Podolski
Giroud
RvP playing a SS role with Podolski given a free role to exploit near the left while Giroud plays Targetman.
Sadly, Wenger won't change it and will play a bland 4-3-3 with almost everyone out of position.

It worked with bergkamp kanu henry, then it was RVP eduardo adebayor..... why would it not work now? With 4 competitions throughout the year, no one will feel left out... plus it's arsenal so at one point,1 of the 3 is bound to be injured.
We can also play 4-2-3-1 with RVP behind Giroud ... with0 Podolski and Theo on the flanks. # winning

Thing is there is noway in hell Debuchy would join Chelsea to be back up to Ivanovic.... you either sell Ivanovic and get Debuchy or keep Ivanovic and dont get Debuchy.
Besides the article above has spoken.... Cabaye's tapping up has done its magic
In other news.... Spanish media has linked us with Rondon again as a replacement for Ba should he leave.
Luuk De Jong is our no 1 target but i would'nt turn my nose up at Rondon none the less.

Rotation, we have a shed loads of games next season & Ivan is the 4th choice CB as well. We would have a slot for him in our squad, but then again if he wants to play every single game he's better off else where.
Let's just help money and the lure of CL football will get him in joining I'd prefer Cesar Azpil anyways but then again Debuchy isn't a bad alternative
We got linked to Rondon as well, thanks but no thanks

All looks well and good but I'm not convicned van Persie can revert back to his old role in the side. Also, you can't underestimate how important Walcott is to the attack, and given the connection he has with van Persie it'd be a waste not to include him regularly.

If you mention Walcott then why not mention Chamberlain as well? The latter is the better footballer than Walcott despite Theo's improvements last season. Unless you mean he is important to the system which I can see your point.
I only speak based on a hypothetical situation on how to build a formation that would suit the best possible players within the line-up.
Coming back to Walcott, I always would prefer him coming on as an impact sub as that role for me has suited him better.
RvP's old role might reduce his goalscoring effectiveness. Yet it would provide the necessary guile and vision needed within the final 3rd also given that Giroud himself can rotate within the game consistently as the Frenchman himself has a knack for creating goals.
The bright side may be RvP may be less restricted and would even score more. Why? Zlatan Ibrahimovic just recently was given his "true" 10 role with Sweden and Milan this season as not only this added freedom allows him to playmake more, yet it has given him the ability to put up a more impressive goal tally.

Not going to happen, you can dream all you want but he is'nt going to join you to ride the bench, rotation is just a fancy word for bench lol.
He's 27 and about to make his big move he's not going to ride the bench for some Serbian thug
I still think he will go to Man Utd but i dream
