Swiss option for Del Piero

Swiss outfit FC Sion have added their name to the list of potential suitors for Alessandro Del Piero this summer.

The Juventus legend will be a free agent come July when his contract with the Turin side comes to an end and the suggestion is that he will move abroad.

Whilst admitting they may not be first choice for the 37-year-old, Sion , who narrowly avoided relegation from the Swiss Super League this season, have made themselves open for his consideration.

“My President wants to think about Del Piero,” sporting director Marco Degennaro told Radio Calciomercato on Thursday.

“But, it will be difficult for the player to accept our set-up, as he will also be probably offered contracts from Los Angeles or England.

“We will be thinking about it, but recognise it will be very hard.”
