new signing gabriel (GK)

AC Milan have completed the signing of Cruzeiro goalkeeper Gabriel, according to Sky Sport Italia.

The Rossoneri have been scouring the market for a back-up for Christian Abbiati and Marco Amelia as Flavio Roma is set to leave the club when his contract expires this summer.

Gabriel, 19, has a EU passport and was reportedly also being tracked by Juventus.

The Brazilian is expected to be in Italy on Monday to finalise his transfer to Milan, who will pay a fee in the region of €500,000 for the shot-stopper.

I am personally very happy with this, he was Brazil's best player after Nerman and Lucas in U20. I hope we get to see him at pre-season, I think we have Abbiati's heir guys. Really happy about this. He'll probably start at Primaevera like El Shaarawy. Was immense against Portugal, Spain and Mexico. good thing he has an EU passport.

So , it's not sure afterall that either Pisciteli/Donnaruma will take Roma's place in the squad , it could be him actually.

I get the impression that our latest signing is actually talented and has impressed in Brazil so far , at least this is something pleasing . May the best of these 3 earn the 3rd GK-place in the team in the end.

well , i wouldn't be surprised if this happens in the summer.. especially if it's already meant to be in swap deal plans. Perhaps a Serie A team asked him for leverage instead , for some player we might want lol

it's too early to know , anyway. Such arrivals are always welcomed in Milan in any case, there's always room for more talent .

Yes, obviously. But there's no way it will happen. Nothing in it for Lyon. The only thing in favour of it happening is that we shouted Lloris back when he was unknown - Galliani didn't buy him.

That was essentially what the story I read was based.

Milannews.it said that Lloris has become frustrated with Lyon and still wants to play Champions League while Marco Amelia wants to just play in general.

Milannews.it is quickly becoming one of the worst transfer rumour sites in the world. It used to be a bit better than this, I think.

Well if we do get Lloris it's be the transfer of the season WC Gk for Marco Amelia plus a couple of mill.. Not that i'm dissatisfied with Abbiati, but he's getting old now and with his injury record its imperative we get his replacement sooner rather than later.

While I have very high doubts about this being true Lloris did come out recently and say he was unsure on his future. And Lisandro also added it will be hard to keep him there. But still I highly doubt it would happen

I thought Galliani wanted him, and we agreed to a transfer at a ridiculously low price for his potential back then (he is WC now), but Llorris did not want to come at the time because he was worried about moving to a big club like Milan. He felt more comfortable going to Lyon.

Noooo.. It was not this! We had a deal in place for him, but Galliani was only gonna sign him if Abbiati agreed to leave, but Abbiati refused to move, so we didnt sign Lloris!
