Sergi Gomez at the best XI it's an aberration that completely discredits these awards.

What's the age cut, 21?

He won through default of the fact you can only be compared to players nominated for your specific position. Same reason why Muniesa was the Bronze LB instead of a Silver CB like last year.

If you look at noms for RCB... his competition isn't crash hot. In fact the only decent CB there at all is Jordi Amat.

Cut-off age is 20. Thats why Bartra wasn't there. The teams last year were much stronger.

Also... I think you are harsh on Gomez. He's not gonna succeed at Barca but that doesn't mean he won't be a decent player. I'm pretty sure he has the ability to succeed elsewhere. I've always thought he was fair. Barca B defensive problems cannot be blamed on him at all.

I definitely don't blame Barça B defensive problems on Sergi Gomez. The whole defense is a mess. It's like the first team but adding unexperience and less quality relatively to the opponent. But Sergi Gomez is really an average player. He'll probably be a 1st division player, but I don't even think he'll get to a top 6 club. Slow, bad on the ball for a barça player, gets sent off a lot, makes mistakes...

You are right that he had no competition, I only know Jonas Ramalho and Amat from the other CB.

OK, well I kinda agree, I just don't rate that a horrible player.

I think he can have a career in a mid-table club or something pretty easily. I think he's fundamentally a good defender. He might do alright in the EPL actually.

Wouldn't want him in 1st team and probs not good enough for Europe I agree.

WTF!!

Castillla are now a point above us. I think its the first time since early in the season. Mad

I dont think we have won a game in like 10 matches. I know the point of Barca B is not to have as much points as possible , but still, its bloody Castilla, the children of the evil!!

With only one game left to play we will surely finish below bloody Castilla Mad

My point was that our b side is better and I stand by it because they had to recall Morata and nacho to save themselves from relegation and other reasons you wouldn't understand.

Who cares what position they're in? Losing is a more formative experience than winning, so long as they compete in 2nd division I couldn't care less whether they're 5th or 15th.

Our Alevi team (U-11) won the Arouca Cup in Vigo. We beat Malaga 1-3, Madrid 0-3 and Espanyol 0-3 in the final.

As usual, Take Kubo and Ansumane Fati stand out performers. Guillermo Amor and Altimira did some nice plays too, and a CB called Eric Garcia.

Sport saying that Barca have negotiated Sergio Araujo to continue with the B next season like I said. Ilie to stay as well apparently.

That being said, half the team will definitely leave and good chance likes of Kiko, Planas and Lomban will look elsewhere, which is good IMO. Kiko has been really underwhelming, Lomban is ordinary and Planas is old enough to move on and leave Grimaldo to mature and take that role.

I think we should renew Balliu, Gustavo and Ca though, who are said to be leaving. Can't just break up the team completely and these are useful players.

We need to find some new Sorianos or Nolitos or we will be fighting relegation.

Ca is leaving? We paid 350.000€ for him just last year... give him another season at least.

Kiko can f*ck off already, 1,5 milion down the toilet.

Next season will be hard, that's why we want to keep Araujo, I suppose he'll be an important player to fight off relegation.

Dongou is barely playing and I think he ends his contract. Guess he'll be off too, as I predicted.

Well, youth plays a lot of friendlies in June, he can play them. Expectations are that him and the other guys we'll be able to play again next season. So no big deal, 3 months without being able to play.

Promoted from the Juvenil to the B: Bagnack, Robert Costa, Gafarot, Samper, Calvet, Babunski and Sandro Ramirez.

So next year we could have something like:

Adrian Ortola (Masip/Bañuz)

Patri (Ca) - Sergi Gomez-(Bagnack/Ie) - Lomban (Costa)-Grimaldo (Gafarot)

Espinosa (Calvet) -- Samper (Ilie) -- Babunski

Dongou - Sandro - Araujo

Kiko femenia, Roberto, Deulofeu, Rafinha and Oier are promoted to the first team (most of them will be sold or loaned). While I assume Juste and Planas will be out, and maybe Lomban. Gus Ledes won't be renewed too.

We are lacking a midfielder and some forwards as it is.

Will Lomban stay??

Either way... It will be Ie and Gomez (I fkn hope). In the 3 games I saw of Ie, I can say he's wayyyy better than Lomban. That he's a prospect only furthers it.

Why do you have Ca at RB? We should look at buying in this area... Dunno why we left Balliu.

Mids and forwards are EXTREMELY raw and definitely could do with 2-3 reinforcements.

I read that Elche are willing to purchase Lomban, so we most likely will let him go which is fine given that we will have 4 other CB.

I put Ca as RB because although he is a DM in theory, I've only seen him play as FB in the Copa Catalunya and we are lacking a RB given that Balliu is leaving.

We definitely need a couple of forwards and a midfielder.

Btw, our Alevi team won the BBVA tournament, including all the teams of the Liga, winning Valencia 2-1 at the final. It seems we destoryed them. Ansumane Fati was the top scorer of the tournament and Take Kubo also played great. It appears this will be another very good generation after the good generation we have at Cadet.

The only time I saw Ca play he came on and played as a box to box mid. Has good feet and technique. I think he needs work on positioning and discipline to play Busquets-like role, but can definitely add steel to a midfield which has stick-thin guys like Espinosa and younguns like Babunski and Samper.

Yes, his a very technical and great passer midfielder. Very adept at doing the xavi turn. He is tall and has always played at a higher age bracket, following Deulofeu's steps. However, he is extremely slow, one of the slowest players I've ever seen, and used to be very soft and bad defensively but he has improved this last season. He plays the Busquets role. Also, he had a sugar drop and fainted in a match recently, and Barça is fearful that he may be diabetic, which could be very bad or even end his career. He is being tested.

Yes. It was stipulated in all their contracts, and is why we will be selling Kiko and probably loaning the rest.

Though I think Roberto will stay and either do a JDS or be used. Tito likes him a lot more than JDS at least.
