nope, it was 21 October 2009, but I've edited my post so it says 2009-10 CL so that people don't get confused

how do barca and RM have more points then chelsea this season, isnt it based purely on results?

They won more matches, I guess. The more matches you win, the more points you collect. So if you got through with some losses and draws, you might make less points than someone who won all group games and then crashed out earlier.
