Re: The Official Sergio Aguero Appreciation Thread
Flawed logic. What next.. Jovetic better than Totti because he carried Fiorentina to Europe? Fellaini better than Suarez too.Great Leader Sprucenuce wrote:Suarez carries Liverpool to 7th and he's undoubtedly the best in the league

No one carried City to the title that season. All the City players were equally involved in that glory. Hart, Kompany, Silva, Aguero were at their best. Toure too.. he has been getting better with age. Others haven't stepped up their game. Aguero looks like he is returning to his 2011-12 form.. so far atleast.

Re: The Official Sergio Aguero Appreciation Thread
Hasn't he been in better form than Messi for club and country this last month?
I swear I read something like that.
Incredible little player.
Shame last season was so stop-start due to injury but besides his injuries, he still had incredible goals:
I think if he stays fit, he scores 35+ goals this season. Already scored 30 in his first. Last season was an anomaly for the reasons I stated above.

Liverpool fans, can we at least agree that if Suarez is better than Aguero (a big if in my opinion) the difference between them in their best form is small at best and they are both amongst the top 5 in the EPL right now?

Look BC, we're not even arguing that Suarez is better than Aguero. We're arguing that he's not any worse. I agree pretty much that they are both very much on par when on top of their games.

Suarez is only better than Aguero at nutmegs. At almost everything else, Aguero is better, especially finishing and the quality of the finishes.

Re: The Official Sergio Aguero Appreciation Thread
when both are on top form, what makes AGuero better is his finishing. But the difference between both is very little and they are absolutely top 3 CF in EPL BC, RVP, Kun and Suarez.
like i said, Aguero is the better finisher, more of a poacher, makes better runs off the shoulder of the last defender; while suarez has more trickery, better at setting up others with quick touches, and moves a lot more across the line, more intense pressing the ball as well.

Re: The Official Sergio Aguero Appreciation Thread
Aguero has finally won me over too His displays lately very consistently and clearly both scoring goals and creating chances. B4 hes just on and off too much, now with the consistent run and holding of Dezko and Negrado to start. I hope he continues and Man C will be fine in attack. I just hope the sort out their defense....

As a neutral, I would rather have Agüero in my team. His finishing is ridiculous, the way he scores from difficult angles, dribbling, creating, big match or not, he has it all, Agüero is simply the complete forward. Oh and he doesn't miss half the season with suspensions, which is a big plus

Suarez does all those things. And Suarez is complete, lol.
Suarez misses roughly 8-10 games from suspensions, Aguero misses half the season from injuries.

Suarez loses the ball way too much when he tries one of his dribbles.

Aguero on the other hand is one of the best finishers in the world.

Still not as good as Ibra mate.
But he's on par with the rest of Falcao, Cavani, Suarez, RVP, etc

Re: The Official Sergio Aguero Appreciation Thread
He's in better form than Ibra.... in fact i'd argue Cavani is in better form than Ibra.
But yeah based on talent and achievements Ibra would be no 1.
But who cares right now Kun is no 1 and the here and now is all that matters.
13 goals and 7 assists ffs

Re: The Official Sergio Aguero Appreciation Thread
Ibra is a good player but I think people are overrating him now because he scores fancy goals, a goal is a goal, no matter how beautiful it is or not.
bossing up Ligue 1 does not compare to EPL.

Re: The Official Sergio Aguero Appreciation Thread
Nah, Ibra has that ability to put the whole team on his back when he scores goals. It's almost as if the dimension of his goals take another meaning, like Kun is currently doing at city, or Falcao last year with Atletico, and RVP with Man Utd last season.
