Leo to remain at inter???
Inter Milan president Massimo Moratti has revealed Leonardo could still be in charge of the club next season.
Leonardo, who took over from Rafael Benitez in December, appeared certain to leave the club to become director general at Paris St Germain after Inter CEO Ernesto Paolillo told Bloomberg earlier this month: "Leonardo is going to Paris and the club is looking for a new coach. We wanted to keep him but he has decided to leave us."
However, Inter have so far been frustrated in their search for a replacement, with attempts to land Marcelo Bielsa, Sinisa Mihajlovic and Andre Villas-Boas ending in failure, and Moratti has now revealed Leonardo could be persuaded to continue.
"There are always alternatives and there's also the fact that Leonardo is still our coach," he told journalists. "I'd like to remind people of that.
"It's not that Leonardo has left or sought to leave. He's had the freedom to see whether there was a possibility, which is not entirely football-related, because it was something that was no longer his job, but another job.
"In any case he remains our coach and I could recall him, whatever happens."
Moratti also denied that he has met with former Genoa boss Gian Piero Gasperini but confirmed he remains a candidate for the position.
"It's not that we're closing in on him," Moratti said. "He's being evaluated and he's a very serious person and a great professional, but I haven't decided, no."

Gasperini is going to be the coach, almost confirmed. He is a good coach but I don't think he has what it takes to go far in the Champions League.

Re: Leo to remain at inter???

It all depends on what kinda deal we make... eto'o is amazing but is also getting older... maybe its a good time to sell... but who will replace him? Benzema?

Re: Leo to remain at inter???
Benzema won't leave Real Madrid, and that 3 man defensive line is not very intimidating. Talk about getting old Lucio is like 33 and Samuel has to be at least 31.

PSG was like No! Moratti he's our sporting director!
Paris Saint-Germain president Robin Leproux has confirmed Inter coach Leonardo is poised to become the club's sporting director.
However, Inter have so far been frustrated in their search for a replacement, with attempts to land Marcelo Bielsa, Sinisa Mihajlovic and Andre Villas-Boas ending in failure, and there were claims he could could be persuaded to continue.
But, Leproux has made it clear where his future lies as he told news daily L'Equipe: "He is going to be a sporting director. Leonardo, everyone knows him, has had a significant dimension and career. I am convinced that he will know how to adapt to PSG's structure to accelerate the development and the sporting strategy of the club."
Earlier, Inter Milan president Massimo Moratti revealed Leonardo could still be in charge of the club next season.
"There are always alternatives and there's also the fact that Leonardo is still our coach," he told journalists. "I'd like to remind people of that. It's not that Leonardo has left or sought to leave.
''He's had the freedom to see whether there was a possibility, which is not entirely football-related, because it was something that was no longer his job, but another job. In any case he remains our coach and I could recall him, whatever happens."
Moratti also denied that he has met with former Genoa boss Gian Piero Gasperini but confirmed he remains a candidate for the position.
"It's not that we're closing in on him," Moratti said. "He's being evaluated and he's a very serious person and a great professional, but I haven't decided, no."
