From Destroyers to Artists

Real Madrid vs. Bayern München is a CL classic. More games have been played between these two sides than any other. The saga continued in 2012, but with one major difference; It was Bayern playing slick direct passing football, and Madrid the "ugly" defensive counter attacking football.

The era of LvG and thereafter has seen a remarkable shift Bayerns style of play, with LvG taking it to such extremes that he was sacked. His successor, Jupp Heynckes has kept that attacking flair but brought much needed defensive stabilty that Bayern was once know for before the Kilinsmann Era.
