Yes, but i dont think it matched his full expectation. The board, likely, negotiated it down a little bit. Now with Pep quitting, it could be possible he wants to play somewhere else and make more money.

I'm not sure how people are making these arguments... Staying in debt is a poor idea regardless of financial situation, just look at the United States government. These things end up coming back to you, whether it's now or 5-10 years down the road. Yes, we say that Barcelona can afford it due to their revenue - this is totally true. What happens when 5 years from now, the team looks entirely different, and has a down year, doesn't qualify for Champs League or gets knocked out in group stages a few years in a row? Now, all of a sudden, you need the 100 million euro purse to make the improvements necessary, and you don't have it because you're paying off the enormous debt you had. They're already one of the top 3 clubs in the world at least right now; why not use some of that money to pay down the debt, and make a few smaller moves to shore up the few areas that supposedly are "weak" (aka not quite up to the level of perfection necessary to win every competition in a given year). It makes no sense to me.

Also, considering that we just saw a report yesterday that informed us that Barcelona has average wages per year per player of over a million more than City, why are we still saying that players might leave Barca because of a "grandfather offer" from City?
