Materazzi stands up for Del Piero

Marco Materazzi says he isn’t shocked by the way Juventus and Alessandro Del Piero are parting ways.

The club captain has admitted that he wants to end his career in Turin, but the outfit noted last October that the player’s contract would not be renewed when it expires in June.

“It doesn’t surprise me,” the former Italy and Inter stopper told Sky Sport Italia. “Gratitude in football has been dead for years.

“Alex could spend 20 years with the same shirt, an historic achievement, but Juventus’ directors have been clear and Del Piero is not stupid.

“I’m still with Alex though.”

Del Piero joined the Bianconeri in the summer of 1993 from Padova and has gone on to win honours galore, as well as breaking club record after club record.

What u fail to understand epicly is that the Agnellis IS Juve and more so than Del piero will ever be.

They have had a hand in almost every single trophy Juve has ever won and quickly some forget that this summer saw Agnellis open up a brand new and the worlds most modern and thought thru stadium.

Furthermore Agnellis have employed millions of Italians for so many years and have actually done stuff for their country compared to ...Yeah no one else, so please take things into consideration before bashing ur own.

A Juve fan not filled with gratitude towards a legend like Del P is not a Juve fan .

But u dont show Gratitude by throwing a contract for him to rot on the bench.

Who talked about Agnellis or the Agnelli family here? No one can forget the likes of Umberto Agnelli and Gianni Agnelli(Il advocato) and what Agnelli family have done for Juventus over the last 100 years.

I talked about a certain clown named Andrea Agnelli.

If Gianni would have been alive now, he could have given his nephew a kick in the a*se for mistreating a legend like Alex Del Piero.
