Let's make one in the Lounge, because I really expect rich people to go hunting the most dangerous game of all out of boredom after some time, so this might actually be worth discussing if there's actually people who think that wealth & power doesn't corrupt.

VSD is one of the shittiest rag paper in France, benzema is the biggest football star in France atm, easy target for stupid medias to make stories about him. If you want to believe it, then you are very naive imo.
Ribery......

dude, you have no idea how much Ribery is hated, he disgusts people by his attitude (WC 2010), and the fact that he sucks for France NT isnt helping. Just a week ago, he came back to France to play Marseille, and after the game he insulted the fans in the medias. No one cares for how good he plays for Bayern, french people barely even watch bundesliga lol.
Benzema has by far, and there is no close second, the best public image for active football players in France.

Re: Benzema's disgraceful act.
This is hard to believe, but then people do crazy things.

Where is the negative rep button, when you need it..?
I need to rep nick09 down, because what he's saying makes a little bit of sense but I dont just agree with it and I can't be asked to explain why.

people arent crazy tho. I can give you a little back story.
Marseille, which is easily one, if not the most, popular club in france signed Ribery from Turkey, and he blew up for them. After the world cup in 06, he went on national TV on the biggest news show and announced that he wanted to go to a "bigger club like Lyon" to win trophies. Marseille fans started to hate him, and most people thought that he lacked decency and respect towards the club and the fans. he never apologized, forced his way out anyway.
During the world club in SA, he was revealed as a leading figure behind France troubles, not just the strike incident, but the team was split in two because he was publicly defying the managers and he was leading a mini mafia within the team, bullying guys like Gourcuff.
People know about it all, he was a main culprit behind an incident that is looked at as national shame for the whole country. I know you are a Bayern fan and you love him, but it's not the case in France, they hate his guts. The fact that he is known for playing so well in club, but looking like he doesnt even care when he has the national shirt on, doesnt help his case. If it was up to many, he wouldnt even be called up as the minister of sports (out of place surely) asked that he wouldnt be called up again, like Evra.
He was voted most hated sports man in 2011 in France lmao

I know people hate Ribery in France as much as they hate Evra, probably because of his action in 2010 world cup.
But I was referring to Benzema incident, it's hard for me to believe that story, I mean why would any sane person do such a thing.
Re: Benzema's disgraceful act.
Nicks right.. people don't exactly like ribery in france lol
