Iberian Europa League Semis yet again

Last season the four teams in the semi's were:

Porto (POR)
Braga (POR)
Benfica (POR)
Villarreal (ESP)

This season they are:

Athletic (ESP)
Atletico (ESP)
Valencia (ESP)
Sporting (POR)

How Sporting beat City and Porto got beat so bad I dont know..especially considering how much better Porto played compared to them.

OT: that is crazy stuff.

More interesting (imo) than Spain's current dominance, which will result in them grabbing the first place in the uefa ranking, is the fact that Portugal has just reached 5th place, surpassing France, and look keen to grab that place.

Well i would be glad to see that a Country's league's dominance in Europe is down to their success of their National team and their players.

Lets be honest here,La Liga is so good atm because of the quality of Spanish players.Serie A was the best back then due to the quality of Italian players.I truly believe by the fact that a league is as good as your national team and basically the local talent in the league.

But then again we have leagues like the Donkee League which disproves it :lol:And their recent success is down to influx of quality foreign players in the league.

This means nothing until the gap between 1st and 3rd is less than 30 points
