Re: Raphael Varane
Loan him to Arsenal. You know how Wenger polishes French players. Varane+Benzema deal. Insert a buyback clause in Varane if he becomes good, and we keep Benz.
Win, win, win.

Re: Raphael Varane
honestly i think a loan to arsenal would be a good option for him, much better chance to start, he will be amongst many french players, playing in an extremely physical league would bulk him up a bit, CL football.. need i say more?
benzema on the other hand.. well he can stay here unless we get aguero, and in that case id love to see benzem play for arsenal.

Re: Raphael Varane
just by looking at even how he looks, plays, thinks, he is exactly the kind of player mourinho LOVES, he is a SPECIAL talent, and even though zidane had big part in him coming here, mou will want to develop him. hes staying in madriddeezydeez wrote:honestly i think a loan to arsenal would be a good option for him, much better chance to start, he will be amongst many french players, playing in an extremely physical league would bulk him up a bit, CL football.. need i say more?

*looks at everyone's praise for Varane*
Too soon I believe. Goona take a wait and see approach as thing is, we havent faced quality sides yet... But so far Varane definitely seems promising.

Re: Raphael Varane
You guys better not start tripping if varane doesnt fulfill the expectations you have of him throughout the upcoming season.

Re: Raphael Varane
Varane impressed today. especially considering everyone else played like shit.
edit: I have high hopes for this kid. colour me impressed. I hope he keeps impressing. who knows? maybe he can establish himself as the starter for real madrid @ the age of 18. though he still hasnt faced quality sides, i definitely see the promise in him. potential similar to that of the benz himself...

Re: Raphael Varane
I have to admit I'm slightly worried about his integration into the team. From the pictures I've seen of the team traveling he's been sitting alone looking kind of glum. I hope he makes some good friends within the squad soon.

He only speaks French fluently at this point. So it's tough for him. Same thing happened with Benz... Until you can communicate with teammates, not much you can do. Besides, he's also a couple of years younger than everyone.

Well, he can only speak with Benz right now, and we dont want a repetition of 'the French clique' do we? He should learn English too, will do him good.

Varane virtually doesnt lose any challenge, it's sick, and he doesnt fool. His passing is always on point.

Re: Raphael Varane
The only weakness he has.. and it's fixable...is marking on set pieces. Especially in the air. He just needs to learn the dirty trick of the trade. He plays it a little too clean.

Great signing. I have high hopes for the kid. Still wet behind the years though but that's normal for an 18 year old (!).
