Who will teams like Spain, Germany, England or Italy takes as backup(over 23)

Can players participate in both the Euro and the Olympics?

I read a while back that Busquets had offered to play in the Olympics. Would he also be able to play in the Euro?

I think that since its not an official fifa competition, the nt's have to ask permission to get players.

So no, i doubt guys like Busquets or Balotelli are participating.

I think Spain will send Javi Martinez, Mata, and Adrian. Those 3 were key in the u21 side that won the Euros, so it's important that they carry on in the same squad.

they are all under 23 tho, he asked for the back ups, the players over 23 that would feature. Javi and Adrian are 24, and Mata will turn 24 at the end of the month.

Dunno if Germany is even qualified for the Olympics (I severely doubt it). For some reason, football at the Olympics has never been of real interest here.

They're required to release players for the Olympics but not for qualifying...

UEFA said.. They can't call-up players that are going to interfere with EURO 2012 call-ups.

the european teams that made it were.. Switzerland, Belarus, Spain, and I forgot the other one.
