Nesta and Ambrosini also deserve a shout out. These four guys were absolutely immense today (3 of them being players most of us labelled as our weak links)

Mexes played reasonably well too but had a quieter performance than the rest of the defense.

Seriously, props to nesta for coming back from injury and putting in 70 minutes of a defensive masterclass.

Nesta is Nesta. The tutor and the destroyer. I rank him as one of the best defenders of all time. To be able to shut Messi while not having the same speed and coming directly from an injury is just amazing.

my God, Bonera held is own, who cares... Antonini went CRAZY against them. MOTM for me, absolutely phenomenal. Seedorf a bit quiet, Ambrosini good, Nesta amazing as well (although perhaps not as much time and injury restraints had him outshined by Antonini).

Antonini was pumped up today ... I was screaming just as much as he was when he got that ball out of Tello's way ... Produce like that every game son and we dont need another lb

antonini has been doing really well since the winter break, this is without a doubt his best performance ever IMO, he also managed to put a great showing against arsenal totally nollifying walcott threat from the first leg game, i just hope he keeps it up, i used to bash him quite alot for the last two years, i hope this will be the last of it...


as for bonera, yes, he did well but he had nesta playing alongside him and we all know that nesta can make any average/terrible CB look like worldclass, bonera did good last night but still he shouldn't be starting IMO, too risky...
