Re: Arsenal 3 - 0 Aston Villa: In control
Watched the game on a quality HD stream today.
Was very pleased with the performance obviously. We scored some quality goals, some great movement and some great passes. A clean sheet is always a bonus too.
Gibbs goal
Lovely pass from Gervinho, surprised at the time they gave him to make the pass, whilst I was even more surprised at how easily Gibbs turned their defence and shot. Given was poor for the goal too, in truth, it was all a shambles from their point of view. Gibbs was very good today, I've always backed him, despite some who don't like him or prefer Santos to him.
Walcott goal
This was a beauty. I remember a Villa player giving the ball away so easily, then Son found Walcott with a wonderful pass, and it was brilliant from Theo to control and finish. Amazing goal to watch to be honest.
Arteta goal
Quite simply, class.
Just a good performance all-round. I was slightly nervous when I heard Koscielny was injured and Djourou had replaced him, but the Swiss defender did well to be fair, even taking a blow to the nose from Heskey.
The Arteta-Song-Rosicky midfield is amazing right now and has been during this run.
QPR next week will be trickier than today, but with our current form, we have to be confident of making it 8 successive league wins.

Arteta, renowned as a reliable free-kick taker prior to joining us, decided to troll us all and then score that. Well played

Song gave the ball away a lot in our half he really needs to improve on that, Szczesny distribution not good at all. We did win and keep a clean sheet but the amount of bad passes in our own half we would not get away with them vs other teams.

Great team performance.. Everyone played so well today that our worst player was RVP.. Lol...
Djurou looked shaky initially but managed well later.. Sczeny needs to improve his kicking..
It was a treat to watch midfield today Song Arteta and Rosicky... Ramsey should improve.. Walcott was great yesterday.. And Gervinho is on the way back to top.. Wenger is protecting Chamberlain to avoid a repeat of Walcotts situation..
And we all keep forgetting about Sagna.. Our winning streak started when he returned.. And he is also a cause for Walcotts improved form...

I'm surprised to see no one mentioning Ramsey's hesitance to pass forward. He had RVP set up ahead of him and he played the ball off to the left rather than try to play a through ball.

Robin van Persie - 6. Second game in a row without a goal. Looked a little tired
I like it ahaha , he almost scored , that's was a great save from the defender

Same here. He makes Rosicky look like Iniesta.
