Probably almost the exact same of pressure and high-line against Barca.

Though they have 2 of the top wingers in the world we might pressure deeper.

Our biggest concerns should be the wings and to shut down gomez & schweini.. I think Ramos & Pepe will handle Gomez quite good, and i'm sure Coentrao and Arbeloa will start. And Alonso need to boss the midfield.

it can easily be one of the most unpredictible matches.

i think we need to play our style, apply termendous amount of pressure, dont give him them a tiny bit of space, especially to their wingers and marcelo will take care of the rest lol.

I think if we do face them then we'll have to press and play a highline, which is what we pretty much do in every game anyway. By doing that Robben and Ribery won't have time to run at the defense. If they beat the trap then Pepe and Ramos are quick.

tbh i would play coentrao as RB

arbeloa/ribery is a HUGGGE mismatch as far as pace is considered. if we play arbeloa i expect him to get skinned repeatedly.

ramos will be the one dealing with robben mostly (because he cuts in so much) so im not so much worried about marcelo.

then pepe will be a decent matchup for gomez

also i wouldnt be opposed to a 4-3-3, more midfield control could blunt their distribution to the wings.

I'd play Coentrao at the leftback, Lass at the right back.

Lass is more agile and faster than Arbeloa and can deal with Ribery's trickery.

We need to control the midfield, Granero in a 4-3-3 would work like a charm since he has 2 defensive support. Xabi can do the dirty works in the middle.

Lass can cover the whole pitch, helping the fullbacks, Di Maria tracking back to help Marcelo too. I think Arbeloa can deal with Ribery.

or swap coentrao with lass, we need someone fast to cover ribery. im honestly not worried too much about robben because ramos will be his match considering how much robben cuts in. its the ribery/arbeloa matchup that worries me.
