Barca open war against Spanish federation
there was a lot of butthurt in Catalonia this past weekend over Pique's red card. A red card in the Nou Camp for a barca player? sacrilege, didnt happen in years. And later in the weekend, the president of the refereeing commitee, Armino, announced he had logged a complain against Pique for the comments he made in press conference.
Euh, what's going on at Barca, it's unlike them...
Toni Freixa, spokesman for the Board has expressed the position of FC Barcelona at the statements made by President of the Referees Technical Committee, Victoriano Sanchez Arminio, announcing that the player Gerard Piqué denounce his words in the media after the match against Sporting. Freixa, who appeared this morning after meeting with President Sandro Rosell where they analyzed the situation, explained that he has concluded that "the behavior of our players and coach has been and is always impeccable. Our players both the FC Barcelona, as some with the Spanish, have been impeccable. "And that's why the spokesperson has called these "also deserve impeccable treatment."
One of the premises of FC Barcelona is "not to discuss the work of the referees," as pointed Freixa. But the spokesman acknowledged that "this year we're not getting lucky" and recalled that a few weeks ago President Rosell acknowledged that "look good" and now the feeling of the highest representative of the Club is that "looks worse." Given all this, Freixa has admitted that "we do not lose hope and expect to have no arguments to feel how we feel."
Meanwhile statements about Sánchez Arminio, Freixa is considered "media and opportunistic action that raises an improper comparative grievances top level competition such as the Spanish league." And he recalled that Piqué moved to the referee had said publicly that this is not reflected in the minutes. Therefore believes that the words of President of the Technical Committee of Referees "put the player in the center of a controversy undeserved."
Therefore FC Barcelona has decided to undertake a series of actions. First of Toni Freixa has reported that "we sent a letter to the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) which formally ask that you inform us of the criteria the Referees Committee to report facts to the Competition Committee." In this letter Freixa said that the club calls "knowing the criteria applied by the Competition Committee to act on its own and sometimes open file." In short, "we want to know what the rules of the game," said the spokesman.
Another of the requests made by the FC Barcelona is "a review of the composition of the Competition Committee and this happens to be a collegial body instead of one-man".
Not attend the meeting on Tuesday RFEF
FC Barcelona has agreed not to attend the meeting this Tuesday at the RFEF which will decide the venue for the final of the Copa del Rey "as a token of our disappointment." Freixa said that during previous meetings to decide which host the final stage "has not asserted the strength of our arguments goals." And before this, "leave it to the RFEF to determine the venue for the final."
Arguments against Piqué red
Meanwhile the club has decided to send a written record of the allegations against the red card by referee showed him the referee during the game against Sporting Gijon. (via FCBarcelona.com)

Scumbag RFEF
Mourinho meets and threatens ref in parking lot...no punishment
Pique tells ref something, is subsequently sent off for a tackle with the RFEF demanding more punishment

No it's the truth...the red card for Pique was understandable, but the RFEF demanding more punishment because he said something?
That is what I can't take

well at least now its out loud from the president... "we make a point to not argue with refs, but come on... they're calling things against us now!" sounds like every barca fan on this forum.

Mourinho was right, there is a certain rule for him (and his players) and then there are rules for others. He can threaten a ref in the parking lot casillas can tell a ref "to go and party with them" or say that they were robbed(bs!) or sergio ramos using his twitter to criticize the ref without getting any punishment while the first time one of our players questions the motive of the ref he gets punished.

Re: Barca open war against Spanish federation
Barca's hypocrisy is truly astonishing. But Madrid is no better, however atleast they dont claim to not talk about the refs.
Everyone complains about the refs, Fergie does, Wenger does, Mou does, however Barca try to play thus "holier than thou" attitude. That is the problem. How can you not understand that?
No one is saying what Mou or Ramos did is right ( It is clearly wrong). But how can one day Barca claim that they dont talk about the ref, the next day bash the ref, the next day open a war against a federation. Point being Madrid is pretty bad at these things, but Barca is worse because of their hypocrisy.

ahhhh the chelsea myth where idiots ignores every decision that barca got against them like the joke red that abidal got which was even worse than mottas, rvp and pepes red and apparently all three were scandalous, the bosingwa foul inside the penalty area on henry, which was clearer than all of chelseas penalties appeal and ballacks handball inside the area and ofc eto'o was wrongly called for offside when he was one-on-one with cech.
Ah the chelsea myth, it will never go away..
