lol, yes. I remember it clearly, he was boasting about QPR being above Arsenal and hoping that it would stay that way. Poor Barton, if he was a lot less of a scum bag and loud mouth then he could be hard man a la Scott Parker but alas he's scum.

Barcelona file a formal complaint to UEFA over the quality of the San Siro pitch following thei Champions League tie with Milan after chunks of the field had been ripped up as players slipped and fell.
Honestly we should have complained.

Re: Arsenal Lobby
Feel the same way. And because they're ranked as such a gigantic powerhouse in world football I think they should be held to a higher standard with their sportsmanship. They fail to meet that bar in my eyes and would fail to meet it even if they were a League 2 team. But in this particular instance I side with them because this is two straight outings in which the San Siro has inexplicably been left in horrid condition before a European game which is inexcusable.

Knowing UEFA, they'd probably fine Wenger for it, whereas they might actually listen to Barca...MJGunner wrote:Barcelona file a formal complaint to UEFA over the quality of the San Siro pitch following thei Champions League tie with Milan after chunks of the field had been ripped up as players slipped and fell.

Preview out once AW has done his press conference guys.
----
Arteta interview in 'Sport' (Free Weekly London magazine)
"I've always been a big admirer of Arsenal, of the tradition, and the way they play football."
"For me personally, the lowest point of this season was that game in Milan. We deserved to lose."
"Arsene knows he has our support, and we know he's always behind us - it's a mutual concept."
"At Arsenal, it's very clear who runs the club. I know who runs the club. It's never like 'What's going to happen with him?'"
"I would like to see Arsenal with the same 11 players for 10 to 15 games, then we could see if we're good enough."

Re: Arsenal Lobby
Wenger makes plenty of money and is in the public spotlight, but this is still thousands of dollars UEFA is taking from him for frankly a minor offence, having made a behind-closed-doors ruling with no negotiation involved. This also keeps happening every time Wenger says anything these days, whereas everyone else seems to get away with much worse. UEFA are bullying Wenger. IMO, one of these days he should sue their asses.

AW resigns himself to signing an Eden Hazard lookalike for $40 an hour.

Re: Arsenal Lobby
Arshavin escapes unhurt after car crash
Zenit attacking midfielder Andrey Arshavin has revealed that he escaped unhurt from a car crash on Thursday.
It had been reported that the Russia international was driving his BMW in St Petersburg when he collided with another vehicle and the player has now confirmed not only the veracity of the story, but also that nobody was hurt in the accident.
"To avoid the unnecessary gossip, I'd like to give a statement," Arshavin wrote on his official website.
"It is true that I was involved in an accident today [Thursday], but I am okay and nobody got hurt.
"What do I remember of the incident? A tram driver gave me a grapefruit as he was passing by."
Arshavin, who has been capped 68 times by his country, rejoined Zenit on loan from Arsenal just before the close of the Russian transfer window in late February.
So glad he's okay. Love the guy and lmao at the highlighted section.
