Re: Arsenal Lobby
Ridiculous article...Van Persie will NOT be going to Manchester City.
First of all I highly doubt we will sell him if we finish in a CL spot, and will instead run down his contract.
And secondly, he will not be sold to a team in the league...Nasri and Clichy were exceptions because they simply weren't world class players. Clichy was extremely error prone and had to be moved on, and Nasri was/is very raw and simply an overrated player. Every single game I've watched him play, he's been extremely average.

Plus Arsenal was not willing to pay their high demand wages, RVP will get what he asks for. 150k will be good enough for him, Podolski is just the beginning of the stars that will be coming to Arsenal and RVP knows that and he will stay.

Re: Arsenal Lobby
Funny how no-one was tripping over themselves to sign RVP when he was going through his patch of injuries, yet as soon as he shows what he's capable of, Mancini's off texting the Sheik for moar funds because he needs 2-3 moar players
IMO, RVP owes us as much as we owe him. We stuck with him throughout the injuries and whatnot and kept faith in him. The least he can do is show us a bit of respect and stay loyal to a team that stayed loyal to him

Re: Arsenal Lobby
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is confident Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain won't let the hype go to his head.
While the clamour has already started for the 18-year-old former Southampton trainee to be fast-tracked into the senior England side, Wenger is determined to take things one step at a time.
"His feet are on the ground, but we have to manage him in a responsible way as well," Wenger said.
"The problem when you have a talented player like that is that everybody wants him to play every single game. If you do that then he will be injured.
"I am a great admirer, but it is difficult to slow the enthusiasm down on the expectation level."

Re: Arsenal Lobby
Newcastle United boss Alan Pardew is delighted to see Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain already making an impact at Arsenal.
It was Pardew who unearthed the young midfielder during his time at Southampton and he insists that he immediately knew Oxlade-Chamberlain would become a great player.
Pardew, whose side must deal with the Arsenal wonder boy at the Emirates tomorrow night, said: “Chamberlain should go with England to Euro 2012.
“He’s an absolutely outstanding player.
“I had him at Southampton, and gave him his debut at 16.
“You could tell even at that age he was going to be a good player. He’s got good family behind him and he’s a player who not only is going to be a good advert for English football in terms of his ability, but as a person as well. He’ll be a great ambassador for the country.
“Physically I think he’s better developed for it than Theo Walcott was when he went to the World Cup.
“Whether he gets enough match-time in the next 11 games to go to the Championships, Arsene Wenger will be the one to decide that.”

Dutch legend Marco van Basten is impressed by Arsenal superkid Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.
The teen has been described as a "gem" by Van Basten.
Van Basten told the Sunday Mirror: “They have a gem like Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, but at the top of European football you also need experience."

He tries to stick every1 out onto the wing initially, apprently to improve their game.

Re: Arsenal Lobby
I thought someone would have posted by now, BUT OKAY.
Rosicky signs new contract at Arsenal
Arsenal Football Club is delighted to confirm that Tomas Rosicky has signed a new contract with the Club.
The Czech Republic captain has committed his future to Arsenal, during a time when he is enjoying a great run of form, which has seen him score twice in the last three games, against Tottenham Hotspur and AC Milan.
Rosicky joined Arsenal in May 2006 from Borussia Dortmund and has featured 156 times for Arsène Wenger’s side since then, scoring 19 goals. In his 28 appearances so far this season, Rosicky has been a key fixture in the heart of the Gunners’ midfield.
On the international stage, the 31 year-old has played 85 times for the Czech Republic, representing his country at the European Championships in 2000 and 2004. He also featured in the 2006 World Cup, taking over the captain’s armband the same year.
Commenting on his new deal, Tomas said: “It's a great honour to sign a new deal with Arsenal, I love the Club and am proud to wear the Arsenal shirt. It's felt like home since I arrived six years ago and I couldn't be happier to commit my future to the team.
"The manager, my team-mates, the staff and the supporters - everyone plays their part in making this a great Club, and I feel privileged to be a part of it. I believe we have a really talented group of players and, together with the manager, the future looks bright. It's always been my goal to win trophies here at Arsenal, and I will fight hard to achieve my dreams here."
Manager Arsène Wenger added: “I’ve always been a big admirer of Tomas’ abilities and am delighted he’s chosen to commit his future to the Club. I believe he is an exceptional player, a natural footballer who is technically top class.
"He plays the style of football we champion here and shares completely our philosophy. He is always ready to work for the sake of the Club, always willing to put the team first. I have huge respect for him.”
Everyone at the Club looks forward to Tomas’ continued contribution in the coming seasons.

Ryo Miyaichi will be one of the best - Steinsson
Bolton defender Gretar Steinsson claims Ryo Miyaichi will be one of the best players in England soon.
"Ryo is a fantastic player. I would put him in the same category as Jack Wilshere and Daniel Sturridge."
"Ryo will definitely be one of the big players. All the Arsenal players have been raving about him and I know why."

Re: Arsenal Lobby
Really glad that Rosicky extended his contract. He deserved a new contract because of his recent form. He might be offered coaching role after his contract runs out. Here is good article about him:

Lee Mason will referee Everton v Arsenal next week. He was the ref for Arsenal v Everton last season with Saha's miles offside goal.
Arsenal have won 4, drawn 2 & lost 2 of the eight PL games with Lee Mason as referee. Won the last three in a row.

Arsenal have the best average possession rating, alongside Manchester City, in the Premier League currently - 58.1%. #afc
TheArsenalGuy @TheArsenalGuy
Arsenal at the Emirates alone, have an average possession rating of 60.1%, which is the best in the Premier League for home games. #afc

It was funny to everyone when we said we can overtake Sp*rs for 3rd spot. Now we're just 1 point behind. Very realsitic chance. Although i took a look at the table and seeing that arsenal has a 2-1 win-loss ratio is actually pretty depressing....
