Re: Arsenal Lobby
Only two players have more PL assists than Theo Walcott since the start of last season. Nani (22), Silva (19), Walcott (18).

Henry praises AOC
Thierry Henry - "Oxlade-Chamberlain is really good. He is writing his own story. I hope he will remain at Arsenal for a long time."
"Oxlade-Chamberlain go to the Euros? I don't know if he will, all I can say is that he has quality."
"Will I return to Arsenal again in 2013? I was a help and that was all. You never really leave Arsenal."

Re: Arsenal Lobby
Arsenal have confirmed that they are investigating reports that Newcastle United midfielder Cheikh Tiote was racially abused by a fan during Monday night's match at the Emirates Stadium.
The Gunners emerged victorious as Thomas Vermaelen's late goal sealed a 2-1 win in the Premier League clash.
The club confirmed that Sky Sports cameras picked up pictures of a member of the crowd pointing at the Ivorian and mouthing something which was "highly inappropriate".
An Arsenal representative said: "The club take a zero-tolerance [approach] towards events of this nature and will be investigating the incident."

Re: Arsenal Lobby
Arsenal's Tomas Rosicky has revealed that he turned down lucrative offers from Russia and China before deciding to remain in north London.
The Czech Republic international has been in fine form of late and on Monday put pen to paper on a new contract with the Gunners.
However, Rosicky has revealed that he could have earned a lot more money elsewhere had he decided to let his previous deal with Arsene Wenger's side run out.
"Arsenal let my [contract situation] go beyond January so, as I was in the last six months of my contract, I could speak with anyone I wanted," the attacking midfielder explained in an interview with iSport.cz.
"It started to get interesting because I had some very lucrative offers [from Russia and China] and this [kind of thing] gives you a little head-turner.
"In both cases, there were huge numbers financially, so it's not easy and some days I thought about it.
"But money is not everything and I'm glad I'm going to continue here at Arsenal."

Re: Arsenal Lobby
Mikel Arteta has spoken of his excitement as he approaches his first return to Everton with current club Arsenal.
Merseyside club will be "very special" and hopes that Toffees fans will appreciate his efforts for the club and give him a warm welcome back for the Premier League clash on March 21.
The Spaniard told Arsenal's official website about the mixed emotions upon his return: “Visiting Everton next week will be really special for me.
“It’s going to be weird to sit in the other changing room, warming up in the opposite half of the pitch and having the crowd against us. I just want to enjoy it."
He continued: “I really can’t wait to go there, and I hope I’ll get a good reception because I gave Everton everything I had in my time there and I love the club.
"Everyone there was great to me and, even though I left, hopefully people understood. There’s no reason for any of us to be unhappy with each other.”

Re: Arsenal Lobby
Theo Walcott feels that the performances of Arsenal teammate Robin van Persie have made him the only candidate the PFA Player of the Year award.
With 38 goals so far this season, the England forward feels that there is nobody in the Premier League who has had a campaign which can compare to the Dutchman's.
Walcott spoke of Van Persie's efficiency in front of goal and insists that other players like Wayne Rooney are in the 28-year-old's shadow.
“He is a great man, a great captain and is very important to this club," the 22-year-old explained.
"You just give him anything and he will just put it away - left foot, right foot, and he has scored a couple of headers as well.
“He makes it look easy and it is not. I think Wayne Rooney is 10 goals or so behind him and he has had a fantastic season as well. It just shows you how good this man is.”

Arsenal fullback Carl Jenkinson is proud of his club merchandise.
Supporters saw evidence of this in a photo posted on Twitter recently, and Jenkinson told Arsenal.com how it all began.
“I think I asked for all the wallpaper one Christmas and then was given more things for birthdays, and the collection gradually built up,” he said.
“A lot of the pictures on the wall are laminated copies of signed pictures and I used to collect them, picking them up whenever I went to a game. So I picked up little things here and there; it took a few years but it’s definitely an Arsenal room now.”
The right back isn’t alone in being a diehard fan since childhood. Nico Yennaris has a similar treasure trove of material at home, and Carl is quite happy to compare notes.
“I know Nico Yennaris has a similar stash of things,” he laughs. “It’s quite refreshing to have another lad at the Club who has felt the same way as me about it for so long."

Re: Arsenal Lobby
Sol Campbell has praised Thierry Henry's mental strength following the striker's return to Arsenal earlier this season.
Henry netted three times during his seven-game stint at the Emirates, two of which were winning goals against Leeds United in the FA Cup and Sunderland in the Premier League.
“He has shown great mental ability to come back and play so well. When he was called upon, he did his best - above and beyond really. It was fantastic," Campbell told the club's official website.
Campbell revealed Henry consulted him regarding a return to the Emirates and the defefender hailed his former team-mate's impact.
“I spoke to him beforehand and he told me the club were thinking about bringing him back,” he said.
“I had lunch with him and told him to go for it. I said, 'As long as people know you are coming back and helping out'. But he did more than help out really."
Five straight wins in the Premier League has strengthened Arsenal's place in fourth and Campbell believes Arsene Wenger's side are starting to display the qualities of a team challenging for silverware.
“Sometimes it is not about the loss, it is how you lose and that is the same with winning. Winning in the last minute will give the lads confidence,” he said.
“Robin van Persie is flying and banging in goals left, right and centre. Everyone is starting to gel and realising what it means to play for Arsenal.
“That level of confidence and class is what they should be aiming for all the time. Sure, sometimes you won’t reach that level but you have to work out how to grind out a result, or shut the game down. That is a learning curve."
Campbell also claims the commitment from the players is starting to reflect their results and has urged the Arsenal stars to express themselves during their performances.
“The lads have shown a lot of spirit. You have to get a bit of the rub of the green, but that tends to come when you start being bolder on the pitch,” Campbell said.
“Gamble on your skill, gamble in the box, gamble in thinking, 'I am going to try this'. Start gambling your talent, basically. The more you bust a gut to win, the more you are going to see the crowd feed off that.
“You make your own luck, and against Newcastle there was a little deflection for the winning goal and the ball came to Vermaelen. But he was there because he busted a gut to get into the box.”

Arsenal's Park allowed to delay military service
SEOUL, South Korea (AP) -- South Korea is allowing Arsenal striker Park Chu-young to delay his compulsory military service for 10 years.
South Korea's Military Manpower Administration said on Friday that Park's 10-year residency visa from Monaco means he can put off his service until 2022. He played for Monaco from 2008-11.
The 26-year-old Park was expected to begin his service either this year or next year. All able-bodied South Korean men are required to serve two to three years in the military.
Park was captain of South Korea until recently.
