Re: Latest Arsenal Rumours
Wow, would wank it hard if it were true. Wenger buying class guys while killing off a few youngsters? So people can change after all.
Plus a tactical shift to a more gritier approach. Nice.
I feel an AM is still needed, although I'm not sure now that Arteta will probably be playing there.

Manchester United & City target Hazard: I'll be wearing blue next season (goal.com)
The coveted Belgian winger, who is reported to be on the wish list of top teams all over Europe, has hinted he will opt for Roberto Mancini's side over the Red Devils
May 7, 2012 8:59:00 PM By John Christodoulou
The Belgian forward has been linked with a number of Europe's top clubs recently, including City's rivals Manchester United, and has admitted that England is his most likely destination.
The 21-year-old was also spotted attending the crucial Manchester derby last Monday and the two sides are amongst the favourites to land his signature.
When asked whether he prefers red or blue, Hazard told Canal+: "I like both. They're both nice colours. I think they both suit me."
But when pressed further, the Lille star said: "The blue, it's the blue that I'll be wearing next season. Definitely the blue."
Both Sir Alex Ferguson and Roberto Mancini have been on scouting trips to see the Ligue 1 star and look set for a summer battle for his services, with Goal.com exclusively revealing that City are in pole position to secure the player's services.
Despite the Manchester clubs seemingly favourites to sign the coveted attacker, Tottenham and Chelsea have not given up hope on luring him to London.
However much will depend on whether either club can attain Champions League football for the coming campaign.

Don't know when Walcott, Gervinho, AOC, Benayoun and now Podolski were considered crap.

Lol, imagine the deal is done with Arsenal, he's just trolling other clubs....
but ye, everywhere reports suggest that after the WBA game they will announce the signing of M'Vila.... They are really trying hard to pursuade RVP to stay.
If we get him, do we need a playmaker?

Good move, that. Blue compliments pine bench brown better than red, which contrasts too much and is rather distractingBut when pressed further, the Lille star said: "The blue, it's the blue that I'll be wearing next season. Definitely the blue."

Re: Latest Arsenal Rumours
Are they real quotes? It is goal.com, after all.
Of course, the impression I've gotten about Hazard in the last year is that he realises the attention he has and is milking it for all that it's worth. He's teasing all those clubs interested in him.
That certainly gives the impression of someone who doesn't mind where he ends up, and that he would be someone who would only use us as a stepping stone to get to the bigger clubs.
Now I don't care how good he is, I don't really want someone who would use us as a stepping stone.

Re: Latest Arsenal Rumours
M'Vila deal is seemingly all but done:
Le Parisen journo @LaurensJulien on twitter: Very busy yesterday working on M'vila story. Deal 99% done. 22 million euros, 4 years. Great signing for Arsenal and player is delighted. At the moment deal is done with Arsenal finishing 3rd, could slightly change if not but he will still sign. He chose Arsenal over Inter Milan.
English French-based Journo @MattSpiro: Arsenal close to signing Yann M'Vila for record £18m.

i disagree. Song has to start because of his creativity. I dont know what wilshere everyone else was watching last season, but he didn't have anything close to that.
statistically wilshere created just over 2 chances per game last season at a rate of one chance every 44 minutes. As of march this season (dont have it updated to today), song creates a chance every 67 minutes. So actually, the question is what wilshere were you watching? answer: probably didnt watch him every game
+ wilshere was 18 last seaon, his first full season, i think its logical to expect his stats and creativity would have gone on an upward trend as he got older and more experience this season if not for injury

Good signing. Glad Wenger is spending some money. Hope we don't start losing players. Can't see RVP leaving now...Samuelj29060 wrote:M'Vila deal is seemingly all but done:

Idk how reliable ESPN is and he has been linked with Sp*rs for ever, but I don't see him go there if they arent playing CL next season.
I don't see us signing him, unless we are selling Djourou (its taken for granted that Squid will leave, but I want to see Bartley and/or Miquel promoted there).
What we really need, however, is sufficient cover on the wings. Gibbs is made of cheap glass, there is no guarantee of how well Sagna would recover and Jenkinson is too inexperienced to last the whole season (not doubting his potential). I NEVER want to see 4 CBs in the back line again.

Santos is good attackingly but not defensively. Gibbs is ok in defending and he's alright in attacking. We need a new left back but we already got two of them. But then again they do get injured quite often

We haven't had an out and out LB in ages. Clichy, Gibbs and Santos are all ok attacking, but are dire in defence (maybe not Gibbs, but Santos is woeful)

Watch next year Santos will only be emergency LB, Wenger is moving him to CF.
