Ah, yeah. Well, he left Barca in 94 (maybe) and left Madrid in 96 (again maybe), really didnt play that many games for Madrid.

Really, its a while ago now and remembering details is hard.

What does that mean though?

I know he is seen as a legand, which is fair I guess. But he didnt play that many games. I just checked, only 63. Barcelona werent that far off that number just last season alone.

In each of those 63 he was in top form, not to mention he lead us to the league (after having not won it for years), loads of highlights as well.

The 5-0 revenge also plays a huuuuuuuge part in how he is seen. Ruud was similar to him in that way I think, sort of a talisman for rebirth as it were.

One of the few players that brough tears to my eyes. The Messi of the dream team. Could play oin both wings, as Am and as a sort of false striker. Had a killer ball and was two footed. Wish he never fell out with Cruyff.

Ironically Barcelona could have gotten Zidane after Laudrup left but because Cruyff was getting sacked he said he couldn't promise Zidane anything. Thee amount of talent that Barcelona have let slip is unreal.
