How much Juve saved this January?
Someone might say that Juve spent quite a lot this transfer windows. Actually that fact is a mistake because Juve and the Sports Director Marrotta were working and planning in the shadows which resulted in quite a big chunk of money saved.
So lets have a look how much Juve saved with the departures of Amauri and Toni, and the loans of Iaquinta, Pazienza and Marco Motta, shall we?
Just for Amauri Juve have saved 2.5 million euros, while Toni saved up almost 2 million euros. It's nearly the same for Iaquinta, even though Juventus has a share in his salaries, but still managed to save up around a million euros. For Marco Motta the sum is nearly 500 thousands of euros while the same goes for Pazienza.
When we sum all of that up in this transfer market, Juve has made a profit or better said saved around 6.5 million euros.
Until summer the savings on the salaries of those players will rise up and accumulate a sum which is nearly 15 million euros, which Juve might then decide to invest somewhere else.
This is a significant step in the right direction for Juve given the circumstances from the last two seasons and the resources they had.

so i'm just curios now, why the hell are certain people bashing Marrotta without even taking a look at the financial chart for this season and the current position on the table we are at the moment?

Coz they are haters! Marotta is BOOM, straight up rudeboy! Best man Juve could have got...Look at all the dead weight he has disposed of since he got here and in the summer we should get a world class striker! Captain Marotta!

Re: How much Juve saved this January?
profit means revenues - expenses.(and taxes)
you forgot the loan fees for caceres and boriello, the first installment on padoin's 5 mil. and the undisclosed fee for bouy.
but still...not paying amauri salary coveres the loan fees
and the club has enough resources too spend. it is juventus after all. the revenues from the stadium must not be forgotten.
i am happy the spending. we are building back a WC team after all.

Re: How much Juve saved this January?
the article wasn't written by me, i just added the statement below, i just manually translated it 'cause i hate google translate. and even in the original artical it said "profit" so it must be true and on juventus.com it says that the Exor groups promised millions where added recently so that has probably covered the fee's of the transfers and loans when everything sums up.

i thought it meant the profit made this winter. my mistake
but i think maybe it means what we are about to save by not paying the bloody salaries to the deadwood players. opportunity cost. meaning we could add this 15 m to invest in the summer in something way better.
we will actually save more than we spend through their departure.

Re: How much Juve saved this January?
How is this deraling the thread, I'm on topic and explaining it's wrong.
"Although Juventus have shown a significant improvement on the field of play, it’s a different story off the pitch, as they reported a huge loss of €95 million for the 2010/11 season, a dramatic worsening from the previous year’s €11 million loss"
I'm never wrong... even tho it's talking about now... THE 95M EFFECTS THIS YEAR AS WELL.

Re: How much Juve saved this January?
Probably you don't understand basic economy. Just telling you that the swissramble blog was written before the January transfer market so you simply cannot calculate with the new values. We are actually saving a lot of money with selling the players in the January transfer market, not just with the sales (thats a small amount), but also with the huge wages which Juve don't have to pay any more.Camurrìa.Sto.Stronzo wrote:How is this deraling the thread, I'm on topic and explaining it's wrong.

Words of wisdom +1
Additionally, the other guys on this thread like Inder, Italianfool and Guliver need not to be hard on Antonio. Yeah he may have a past but, it is never cool to make that past of his a stick to beat him every now and then, so calm down everybody and let us have a healthy discussion.
We are leading the table, we are in the semi-finals of Coppa Italia and we are still unbeaten in all competitions, therefore it is good time to be a Juventus, no need to antagonize each other, we are supposed to enjoy the happy times we are having now, especially after we endured a long period of hardships, come on Juventinos, come on fratello, let us all be happy
