Re: De Bruyne watch
Kevin DeBruyne axed from Chelsea squad:
De Bruyne was not in the match-day squad at Tottenham on Saturday, will not travel to Romania for Tuesday’s Champions League tie against Steaua Bucharest, and has been told he will be training with the Under 21 squad for the next 3 days

I hate how Dailymail judges a player's future by one AXE dailymail says that "De Bruyne's future up in the air after midfielder is axed from Chelsea squad"

Mourinho storms out of press conference after being questioned on De Bruyne axing ahead of Steaua clash:

"It’s amazing because nobody asks me about Mata and now you ask about Kevin de Bruyne. You are not interested in the players who play only those who don’t."
"He’s not selected because I didn’t like the game he played at Swindon and the way he has trained."

Re: De Bruyne watch
I remember the Sahin and Pedro Leon incidents vividly, both were frozen out when the press started asking questions. He has a tendency to double down when people start picking apart his decisions.
Still remember him saying Sahin wasn't doing enough in training; At the time, videos of the sessions pretty much indicated that Sahin was great there. It got to the point where Xabi played every single game and completely burned out over this childishness.
Chelsea will have no such problems though, at least they have a surplus of attacking midfielders. However, if a big deal is made of this then De Bruyne's only hope is going to be injuries or perhaps more likely, someone else falling out with Mourinhio.

Borussia Dortmund have no interest in Kevin DeBruyne, says Jurgen Klopp:

"He is actually no one we are after. He is at Chelsea FC and given the size and quality of the Chelsea FC first-team squad it's quite usual he may sometimes miss out on one or two matches."

"Mourinho is the boss and he decides who plays. He tells me when I've done something wrong, but I've heard nothing as negative from him as what I've been reading in the media."

Kevin De Bruyne may reconsider Chelsea future after absence from first team:
The Belgian says he can do "nothing" to halt his continued omission from Premier League action and admits "something has to change"

"I know something has to change. Sooner or later, I will have to play. What can I do besides keeping quiet and doing my best in the training sessions? Nothing."
"The manager told me I played a good game against Arsenal and that he took me off to make a tactical change. The whole team made a good impression, and our victory was deserved."
"I don’t know [if I will play more after the Arsenal game]. I work hard in training. The manager has already told me that I’m doing well in training. But I don’t know if it guarantees me more minutes. Everyone’s is available.

Looks like he is one of the first to fall off with Mou, fair enough.. the guy deserves playing time.
Re: De Bruyne watch
It's a shame but If we can fetch a good price for him. I can see it happening.

Better not happen, i'd much prefer another loan to the Bundesliga or something. He's far too good to let go imo.

Re: De Bruyne watch
So then we'll bring him back next season to the exact same situation?
While I am against selling our young talent, our Am position is so stacked now, and in the future that someone has to be sold. KDB would fetch a great price and could allow the likes of Piazon or Atsu join the club, or looking younger, Bertrand Traore, Izzy Brown or Boga.
I want to see us keep our younger plays but KDB was never a youth player, he has barely ever played for us and is playing in a completely stacked position, had he played on the pivot, I'd be screaming for us to keep him but he doesn't.
Something's got to give in the AM spot, it won't be Schurrle Oscar or Hazard, it's unlikely to be Willian right now and unless Mata leaves, I see KDB being shown the exit door first.

Re: De Bruyne watch
It's just dumb to me, Willian has played 2 good games for us and looked hopeless in the rest yet KDB hasn't really been given much of a chance. Of the AM's he's easily the most versatile, if he was to be sent on loan with instructions to play deeper in midfield I think he could thrive, especially with his passing/dribbling.Kick wrote:So then we'll bring him back next season to the exact same situation?

Re: De Bruyne watch
Willian cost us 30m pounds this summer, KDB cost us 8m pounds and can be sold on for a profit. Which do you think the club are going to choose?
While I would love to see KDB develop into a DLP, I don't think the club has the patience to, especially considering how we need one now, not in a few years. We'll hopefully have MVG and Chalobah almost ready if not ready by then.

Re: De Bruyne watch
Don't get me wrong, I am as annoyed as you about it, Willian was the most pointless transfer of all pointless transfers, if we had to buy Willian to get Eto'o, we should have stuck with Lukaku.
At the end of the day, it's the clubs decision and as silly as it may be, it's what they've done.
Let's just hope, if we do sell him, let's not sell him to an EPL club like with did with Danny.

Yeah if he does end up going hopefully it's do the Bundesliga where he's already been successful and can continue where he left off.

Further proving the utter pointlessness of the Willian transfer. Biggest waste of mega dosh since Torres. Would take Kevin over him six ways to Sunday.
