I do not want my club to become a Man City 2.0, give me Levy type owner who loves the club and will spend money when its necessary and not like a plaything any day of the week over some oil baron.

I see what your saying but Man City isn't the only example of people wanting an oil billionire. There is a happy medium where they spend money and build slower. I mean City's Oil Billionaire isn't the only one who owns a football team.

The one thing I would argue though is that for Man City to achieve there goal of winning the EPL and CL from where they were they needed to spend every penny they have spent so far. They just sped the timetable up because they didn't want to wait around for years to attract top level talent. Remember 2 years ago Kaka laughed at the idea of going to City, times sure have changed.

Also, I think the sums of money they spend on individual players are actually pretty good bargains for the most part over the last year or so it's just they had to overspend at first to attract certain players so others would go there.

well some poeple can put together an argument for some of these points but the majority of your list isnt outlandish. I personally dont rate whilshire since he isnt consistent (injuries excuse comes to mind) I find the nerman hype and goat comparisons laughable since the likes of R9 or even Messi were already proven at his age. Mexico has so much talent and they always had, but its a matter of managing that potential that will make the difference. As for the suger daddy, well, lets just say everyone wouldnt mind having an Oil billionaire, but there is a minority that thinks otherwise

Italy's CBs (Ranocchia, Bonucci, Astori even Chiellini), are absolute garbage.

Juventus's success this season is explained largely by a slow start for top teams in Serie A.
Simone Pepe is an incredible playmaker and has strong defensive abilities.

A lot of your opinions are not so crazy at all guys.

- I'd say this:

- Casillas is overrated. He has a habbit of being lazy. Has shown it in quite a few of his conceded goals. Not even a move shown by him when he thinks he can't make a save - I don't appreciate that, not at all. IMO, not a top GK anymore. He was a few years back, but not anymore.

- I too think that Di Maria is one of the best (if not THE best) wingers in the world when in form - Mole understands that, and I don't think anyone can argue with that.

- Guti is the biggest unfulfilled talent in fotball ever Sad

, I know, go on and hate (what? the thread says "Unpopular opinions thread") - but this guy was magical when he decided to play, and he was garbage when he didn't feel like it. Had too much trouble with his restless mind I guess. Sigh...

Rosicky was on his way to becoming a world class player before his injury. I miss him a lot, as I do with Eduardo. I hate how injuries really ruined their careers.

-Mourinho is actually a great person inside, he just doesn't show it often in the three hour time period which includes a match.

-Cristiano Ronaldo is arguably one of the classiest players on the pitch in el clasicos. He never dives, ref crowds, get's in fights, makes dangerous tackles nor makes controversial comments in interviews prior to and after the game.

Agreed, I'll never forget seeing Eduardo's bone sticking out of his leg. Such a shame. He has so much talent in him.

It makes sense, from being called one of the greatest teams to ever playing the game, to consistently not making it past round of 16 CL. Barca fans will feel the same after this current era ends.
