Cruyff's latest opinions

Former Barcelona star Johan Cruyff has branded Real Madrid trainer Jose Mourinho a failure as a footballer.

The Dutchman laughed off the Portuguese's self-granted title of 'the only one', and even had harsh words for the Blaugrana's president Sandro Rosell.
"He had nothing to show for himself as a footballer but now he can do something," Cruyff was quoted as saying by AS.

"Yes, he is the only one, the only mad enough to say a thing like that. He's so mad he's in a straitjacket."

Cruyff went on to discuss the transfer policies of his former team, and stated that new trainer Tito Vilanova has a lot to prove.

"The best philosophy is to create players, not buy them. We [Cruyff and Rosell] don't share the same philosophy. I don't believe he understands the notion that Barca is more than a club."

"He [Vilanova] has to prove his worth when the going gets tough. We'll have to wait and see before we jump to conclusions about him. Working behind Guardiola is not the same as being in charge, it's completely different," he concluded.

It is kind of funny what he said about mou, he did jack shit when playing football. I just find it funny because I don't like mou.

He was a legend playing the sport, even a great coach but now he should just retire at some country club and stfu because he is destroying his reputation.

I do believe Mourinho probably has lost his mind a bit with the "only one" description but I can't help but wonder if old man Johan really said "The best philosophy is to create players, not buy them".

A man of his intelligence should and would know that is a load of dinosaur excrement...

Says the best policy is to create players rather than buy them-----Massive amount of silverware in the last few years for barca would suggest this is true
Says that himself and rosell dont share the same philosophy regarding the club----Widely known already
Concludes with saying that Tito is going to have to step up a lot when it gets tough to prove himself-----Again true

Madrista fans I know your not used to crazy men attacking your club but, if anything Cruyf is just doing what Mourinho does in the interviews, talking mad shit about other people or clubs.

so far cruyff has yet to insinuate that madrid have been receiving help from a continental/global conspiracy... maybe not quite as mad!!

Well he sais a lot of shit once in a while, but this time he nailed it. He actually spoke the truth and yes the comments were harsh, but he still did not fall into the level of some younger folks who insinuate world wide conspiracies. So, why attack him for this article? Is it because he supports Barca?
