As I mentioned he will start in smaller games along with where Ibra needs rest.

Keep in mind we needed him as a vice-ibra since we don't have that towering figure who could hold the ball and muscle of defenders.

Also, his signing is only underwhelming compared to Tevez as otherwise he is quite good.

I mean Fadi of all people rate him very highly.

Galliani playing safely. But even if we lose Pato+Cassano, we still have Rob and SES. Its just Galliani wanting to have vice-Ibra personally.

I actually rate him as well, much under rated, I am happy with his arrival.

Perhaps you should read the post prior to your own. I'm in favor of this signing and understand it completely

You can color me crazy, but I think this move is better than us approaching Tevez. I'm certain we ended up with Lopez because City weren't willing to sell at a discounted price and I think that's actually for the best. I like the idea of having a vice Ibra.

This guy failed everywhere he has played .... how he is even a vice-ibra is a mistery to me ...

I'm not too excited over lopez's signing, neither would i have been with tevez.
I just don't think a striker is what we need at the moment

Well even though I have not been the biggest fan of Lopez I have to be optimistic. Hope he does well for us. At least we can use him in the CL if needed

cmon...... theres no point in getting lopez its seriously just a waste a space, might as well just make el shaarawy play more. if you wanna seriously make a real run in Serie A, get a real vice-ibra? Tevez is your man, and frankly who cares if we have 1,2 79 attackers, when a WC player is available for wayyyyyy less than he is worth you go for it all the way. Sure i would have loved for him to bring at least 1 more midfielder, but hey if we can get Tevez why not? Ibra cant do everything by himself guys, especially in big games, i feel really bad for him isolated and alone up top, bring us tevez you'll see the drastic change

If you think about it, Maxi was the best option. He'll understand his role on the team and he won't cost us as much. You can't always go for the bargains just because, I know it's benefited us in the recent past, e.g., Ibra and Robinho.
As Arq said, it will be nice to have another big body upfront and Lopez usually impressed me when he played against us in the past.

I don't understand how he's a waste of space, do you not remember us playing Ibra into the ground last season? This move will allow us to rest Ibra and still have that big body upfront, not to mention Lopez already has Serie experience. This signing won't disrupt SES's playing time as they have different roles on the team (Ibra and SES.) Not sure if you're understanding what people mean by vice-Ibra.

It's clear to me Man City were not willing to sell at a discounted price. In this inflated market I don't believe Tevez was available for wayyyyy less. I don't recall what we had apparently bid for Tevez, but I feel as the number was too high.

We already have Robinho for that, they make a nice duo. Why bring in Tevez when it seems like that move would have us to sell Pato? Might has well hold onto our cash and invest in a play making attacking midfielder (which will benefit all of our strikers.)

With the arrival of Maxi Lopez we finally have our vice Ibra, I think Robinho will be moved to trequartista, to battle with Prince for a spot

i really dont like maxi lopez.. plain and simple, i dont need to justify myself for that, ive seen enough of him in Catania and in Serie A to say that he is useless.

First choice back up to Ibrahimovic, and then the second striker spot is up for grabs between El Shaarawy, Pato and Robinho (who should be at TQ)

i prefer using robinho as our SS,we need Boateng as CAM because hes very dangerous upfront and not much of a good CM as we thought he was
