liverpool & juventus fortunes this season
whats been the difference between these 2 teams ?
both have been perrenial failures these last couple of seasons.
both have 2 club legends coaching them.
both have spent a fair bit of money.
id say there squads are about the same level of quality, if were comparing them on paper.
yet one is undefeated and the other it looks like will be playing in europa league if there lucky.

Re: liverpool & juventus fortunes this season
Finishing is the difference. Not just Matri, but you can see looking at Juve's scoresheet, there's a nice even flow of forwards, midfielders, and defenders rising to the occasion to put it in the back of the net. They're just finding a way. On Liverpool, the only two I would trust in front of net are Maxi and Craig Bellamy.
As well, Conte, even if he isn't a great tactician, is getting the players to react to him. Shit, I'm scared of him just watching him through the TV.

Re: liverpool & juventus fortunes this season
Juventus seems to have much more determination.
Liverpool has the possession of the ball, but for some reason they don't seem to use it.
Also, both really need more game changing players.

I'm happy with most of his signings bar Stewart Downing. Wasn't a fan of buying Carroll, but if we didn't splash out on a striker* when Torres left, fans would of thought NESV were G+H all over again.
*There was no time in the market, we wanted Llorente / Gomez but both of the players clubs said it was too late in the window. So settled for Carroll...
People go on about saying the 442 is not the way to go in some games, but if we didn't have a goal from chance conversion rate of under 10%, we'd be right up there with Chelsea... United have also dominated the PL with the 442. Saying that, we usually play with a 433 when everyone is fit. We keep changing the formation since Leiva's been injured.
We've dominated nearly every game we've played in so our style of play isn't that bad. Unless Andy's on the pitch when we play more direct and play hoofball in the last 10 minutes of every game.
This is also the first time since 09 we actually look like winning a trophy.
Having Dalglish as manager is the right way to go. He knows how to make a team, and has shown this having arguably the greatest LFC sides in the clubs history, winning the PL with Blackburn and well, didn't have much time with Newcastle but got them runners up and made it to a FA cup final. The fans and players are united with Dalglish in charge, and we actually play some good football (bar our performances since parking the "plane" against City). We used to play hoofball every game under Roy, so there's definitely an improvement. His latest press conference was great to see, as he was ruthless back in the days. He usually had that nicer/family approach back when he was reinstated, so could see the players getting fired up now.
Just over 12 months ago, we were fighting for relegation.

They should have spent the Carroll money on Negrado or Soldado.

Liverpool are not good enough, Juventus are.......
Simple.
In Midfield and Attack the only players worthy of CL football who has played most of this season at Liverpool are Lucas and Suarez the rest are trash.
