I agree with this to some extent, derbies are Usuallly special because it's a rare occurrence and the suspense and anticipation building up to it makes it that much better. The derby Della Maddonia was something to look forward to as that happens on a rare occasion.

About the hooligans over foreign football, it's crazy. Where I live in Lebanon, people go crazy over the World Cup. Brazil and Germany supporters have a huge rivalry over there. It's fun until stupid people do stupid things.

I guess in Germany people rarely notice that there is a Classico going on - only since Özil and Khedira play for Real it was mentioned in passing in a small notice in the normal newspapers. I think kicker devotes one page to it or so - but again only because there are Özil and Khedira in it.

(Mind you, the TV numbers for the CL matches - even with German participation - are already not that big. German NT matches on the other hand have double or triple the audience of, say, Bayern playing a CL match. Heck, even the matches of the German women NT had the double (!!) audience than the CL matches that were broadcast here. So you can guess that a match with all Spanish participation is not really that highly viewed here. ^^)

Why watch something you already know the out-come.

Because one would want to see how this out come might take place? Also, Clásico is just one "s" btw...

I'm sick of seeing posters writing they are sick of this match. And you know, the same way said posters can avoid this match is the same way I could avoid their annoying posts: Ignore it.

How many post do we have here about this clasico that will already know the outcome.

Barcelona will come out ontop, C.Ronaldo will flop and Messi will shine. Only God knows how much some people have made from this simple trick

I can see from where Supra is coming from. Over her during classicos every single person suddenly becomes a die hard fan. People ask you: are you a RM fan or a Barca fan? If I answer neither I get a weird GTFO look. The glory hunters over here used to drive me crazy,now I just ignore them.
