Dribblers...
Speedsters vs change of pace type of players?
Which type of players are the most dangerous? guys like Bale that make donkey runs forwards or trickier players that rely more on turn of pace?

Turn Of Pace
Goes hand in hand with good decision making and intelligence. (in good players)

Re: Dribblers...
Depends if it's counter attack style or short passing. Most people like the agile players though.

Re: Dribblers...
Speed players have a place in many big teams in Europe but the start-stop turn of pace players who have great acceleration, I find, are generally more effective

Re: Dribblers...
I think trickier players who can keep hold of the ball then take off.
They take allot more of the defenders attention and give them more works. Thats certainly the case with Sunderland when Sess is on the ball. He normally has about 4 players trying to dispossess him.

Change of pace.
Change of pace players are dangerous in space and in tight spaces, while players like Bale need a lot of space to run into to be truly dangerous.

Re: Dribblers...
Sessegnon is a playa. I'm a fan.
Jese from Madrid's youth team is a good example of good dribbling imo
Mind you I am talking about his style of dribbling not saying his dribbling is that amazing (although it will be soon )

Re: Dribblers...
i think people are unfair to bale, he does flourish in space but he also has pretty good close control and can handle small spaces aswell with tricky dribbles. i'd say lennon and walcott are more like players that must have space to use their speed

Change of pace. it makes you unpredictable, defenders can't anticipate what you're going to do.

Re: Dribblers...
You guys arent giving enough credits to speedsters like Bale. He has so much pace that he makes you reconsider how high you play your line of defense imo.

Like when Walcott rapes Barcelona? But not many teams play with such a high line.

Re: Dribblers...
I think so long as you can change direction while keeping control of the ball you've got it made. The faster you are with the ball the better as well.
Sort of like Robben.

Re: Dribblers...
Ben Arfa is an example of mixing the both together for pure awesomeness.....
Unfortunatly his attitude and Pardew having a different idea of how we should play has led to little opportunities.......
I hope they both can come together because a Ben Arfa in full flight is awesome to watch.

Re: Dribblers...
LOL yeah, but he is very good at it.
If there was a player like Robben who could switch to both directions with the ball at full sprint he would be awesome.

Re: Dribblers...
Players with good change of pace are great in tighter spaces, unlike speedsters, and a lot of space. However, speedsters that are afforded a lot of space are utterly devastating, such as Bale vs Inter at WHL. Inter left way too much space behind and Bale punished them. Of course, they both have to have a good end product.

Re: Dribblers...
I'm loving the fact that the only example people have of Bale actually being effective is that one game vs Inter
