I've been trying to tell everyone for a while now. No Yaya no party.

Maybe it's going to take a month of him gone to the AFCON for him to finally get the credit he deserves. He is the straw that stirs the drink at City and without him there midfield just doesn't have the freedom to do what they normally do.

I'm not taking anything away from Pool though, they did what they had to do and got the result they needed. Kudos to them.

Attacking City with no DM on the pitch would have only led to conceding goals.

As it was Liverpool organised the defense to frustrate City and keep them from creating chances and it was very largely successful (bar perhaps two real chances). The reward for doing so successfully is the chance to take a lead back to Anfield. It's a results business, in the end, and I for one was happy to see a good old-fashion Euro-away leg performance.
